At the Universidad de Málaga, you'll study alongside other international students in small classes taught by university faculty. Whether you're advanced or just beginning your Spanish language journey, you can choose from two academic tracks designed to reach your goals:
- Standard Track: Choose from Spanish language courses and select electives taught in English to create your perfect balance of strengthening your language skills while exploring additional academic interests.
- Intensive Spanish Track: Immerse yourself in Spanish language through two consecutive course modules designed to accelerate language acquisition. This track focuses on developing your reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills and offers the opportunity to potentially progress through two language levels during the quarter.

We’ll help you make the most of your time abroad with interactive activities throughout your program. We’ll also host an in-depth orientation when you arrive to help you navigate the city, academic culture, and your new home – all included in your program. From practicing your Spanish at the Alcazaba to exploring Málaga Bay by boat, you’ll experience a vibrant cultural immersion that complements your academic growth.

Choose the term that fits your schedule and academic goals, so you can stay on track while exploring the world. All forms and payments are due approximately two weeks after the application deadline.

Housing
After you've applied, you'll complete a housing questionnaire that will help us match your preferences with the available options. Housing assignments are on a first-come, first-served basis, so complete this form as soon as you're able! We strive to match your housing preferences as best we can, but requests cannot be guaranteed.
The options listed below are based on double-occupancy with another international student, unless otherwise noted. Single rooms may be available upon request for an additional fee. Meals and laundry service are not included unless otherwise specified. All utilities and internet are included, though you may be charged an additional fee should your consumption exceed the allotted monthly amount. A refundable security deposit may be required for some options.
