Hands-on learning for real-world impact
Our extensive network of industry experts and global organizations helps students learn through real-life applications and interactive projects.
Engagement formats and options
Our Global Experiences team has spent years building networks of industry experts and dynamic organizations that show your students real-life applications of their studies and immerse them in relevant, interactive projects.
We’ll work with you to identify your program theme and learning goals, prep the host organization and speakers, and provide students with a briefing prior to each visit. Here are just a few examples of the engagements we can incorporate into your program.
Company visit
Visit a local company in your industry of interest and hear from executive speakers. Various formats available, from boardroom discussions to candid conversations. Incorporate Q&A or company tour.
Guest lecture
Hear from an industry expert on market strategy and trends, opportunities and challenges. Various formats including formal boardroom discussions and candid conversations followed by a Q&A session.
Strategy challenge
Teams apply practical skills in this interactive experience, working together to tackle a proposed business challenge and present a solution that balances global, regional, and industry issues.
Local market immersion
Break into groups and explore the city from the perspective of a local consumer. They’ll experience the city's microeconomics by interacting with local citizens and places in an active exchange.
Panel discussion
During this open, faculty-moderated discussion, industry experts share their unique perspectives. Speakers offer candid feedback and perspectives allowing for a deep dive into international markets.
Social impact experience
Meet with organizations pursuing philanthropic, humanitarian, or community-focused missions to understand the practicalities and challenges of running a non-profit or social enterprise.
Community engagement
Engage in hands-on service over the course of a few hours or several days, actively working to better the community they are visiting while learning about the area’s unique challenges through Q&A.
Project-based learning
Teams tackle real-world challenges presented by an international company. Over several weeks, they'll gather information from stakeholders before presenting their final findings and recommendations.

Some of the first questions I ask are: Where does the program fit into your course timeline? What types of case studies are you already incorporating? When I have the opportunity to understand the student environment, it really allows me to create a global experience that's a tangible extension of their classroom.
