Understanding the transcript process
After your study abroad program ends, your host university will issue a transcript of your academic work. WorldStrides will process and forward an official copy to you and your home institution, typically within 90 days of the program end date. To ensure a smooth process, be sure to get your courses approved prior to going abroad.
A few things to keep in mind:
- It can take 2 - 3 months to receive official transcripts. See FAQs if you require an expedited transcript.
- You and your home university will each receive one official transcript that will be delivered electronically.
Is your transcript ready?
Use our status tool below to check the current status based on your program details. Just select your program country, city, year, and term. As a reminder, transcripts can take up to 3 months to be processed.
Requesting an additional transcript
You can request an additional transcript for a graduate school application, future job application, or just for your records. Be sure to have your program information handy, as you'll need it to complete our transcript request form. You'll also have the option to include additional forms such as LSAC, AACOMAS, etc. If you're requesting a transcript be sent to World Education Services (WES), an original transcript will likely be required. In this case, please contact us to review your options, as we may need to submit a request with your host university from abroad.
There is a small fee associated with requesting additional transcripts. Once this fee has been paid and form has been completed, we'll send an official copy of your transcript to the location(s) you've designated in your request form. Depending on how much time has passed since your program, you may need to request your transcript directly from the host university.
