The application is the first step. After that, you’ll want to check what comes next, complete any important paperwork, and start making exciting plans for your upcoming travel.

You’ve applied. Now what? 

Congratulations on taking the first step towards studying abroad! After applying, you’ll gain access to your WorldStrides student account that houses the instructions you’ll need to complete before going abroad. If at any point you get stuck, reach out to your dedicated program manager for help!  

Plus, take a look at our onboarding actions at a glance. They’ll help you gain an idea of what comes next. 

  1. Get accepted

    To be accepted, you’ll need to upload all the necessary application documents, including a statement from your university and a transcript. The sooner you complete your application, the sooner you’ll be on your way!

  2. Complete all forms

    Once you have been accepted, review your program details and complete forms in your WorldStrides student account. This covers housing, courses, visa information, and more. 

  3. Fund your program

    Explore scholarships, financial aid, and payment plans that work for you. Check out our funding page for more information. 

  4. Book your travel

    Book your flight or train tickets. Make sure you arrive the first day of your program or the day after. Upload these details in your student account. 

  5. Prepare for arrival

    Attend our online orientation before you take off, join our student app, and review your arrival guide. 

  6. Arrive & thrive

    Your WorldStrides program coordinator will be there to welcome you and help you settle in. You’ll have all the support you need to make your study abroad experience a success.
