Paris never loses its enchantment, regardless of how often you return. There’s always something new to find when exploring the city’s lovely streets, whether it’s your first time or your tenth.
Join me as I rediscover Paris’ beautiful sights on my second visit to the city.
A classic representation of Parisian grandeur and history, the Arc de Triomphe is the first destination. In the center of the city, the Arc is HUGE, and something that was worth seeing again.
Off to the Louvre! This is one of the biggest art museums, so be ready to lose yourself in its countless treasures for hours. The exterior’s breathtaking grandeur is enough to leave you speechless even before you enter.
Within the Louvre, there is so much to take in! From the iconic Mona Lisa to the breathtaking Winged Victory of Samothrace, there are all different types of exhibitions.
Within the Louvre, make sure to stop by some of the most famous exhibits, like the Winged Victory of Samothrace (pictured above) and the Mona Lisa.
After a full day of exploring and soaking in the sights, I’m excited for day two! A must-visit spot in Paris is the Palace of Versailles, just a quick 40-minute metro ride away.
It is as if you are traveling back in time when you enter the Palace of Versailles. With light reflecting off every surface, the enormous corridors, gold accents, and infinite chandeliers are breathtaking.
The gardens, however, which seem to go on forever, were the true highlight for me. It’s the ideal spot to stroll and soak it all in because of the lovely fountains, well-kept hedges, and serene walkways. It’s amazing to think that this was once only a royal backyard!
After coming back from Versailles, be sure to visit Notre Dame Cathedral. When I last visited, it was still under restoration, so seeing it now, beautifully rebuilt, was an incredible experience.
Make sure you make a stop at the Eiffel Tower at night! It sparkles for the first five minutes of every hour up until 11PM. This is absolutely beautiful and a must-do when visiting.
On to my third, and sadly last, day in Paris! First stop: the Lock Bridge, a classic symbol of love and tradition in the city.
I was able to purchase locks on the bridge itself and lock some on the iconic bridge, along with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower in the back.
Port Debilly
I traveled to the Eiffel Tower as my last destination, but this time, I walked inside! You may walk up to the second terrace, as well as the top, and enjoy the most breathtaking views of Paris for only 7 euros. For an event that will last a lifetime, the work is well worth it!
