From on-site to insights

Site visits are an invaluable way to deepen understanding of the student experience, strengthen institutional partnerships, and foster academic collaboration. We offer tailored opportunities for study abroad professionals and faculty to experience our programs firsthand—ensuring alignment with your institutional goals and providing on-the-ground insight into our academic, cultural, and operational infrastructure.

We welcome the opportunity to host you abroad and would be delighted to share our passion for international education with you and your colleagues.

Group Site Visits

We regularly organize small-group site visits for U.S. faculty and administrators. By participating in one of our scheduled site visits, you will gain familiarity with our program capabilities including academic integration, accommodations, cultural immersion, and health & safety. You'll also meet members of our trusted on-site team who support you and your students while abroad.

Our group site visits are subsidized by WorldStrides and include accommodations, select meals, cultural activities, in-country transportation, and programming relevant to your area of interest. You'll be responsible for travel expenses to and from the site visit destination.

Each group site visits focuses on one of the following programming options:

  • International University Programs: Designed for study abroad advisors and international office staff, these visits provide a holistic look at our direct-enroll and exchange partnerships. You’ll typically visit 2 - 3 program sites and tour campus facilities, meet local staff and faculty, and experience cultural activities that mirror our student programming. You'll also have the opportunity to have an open exchange with WorldStrides students who are currently studying abroad with us for an inside look at their experience.  There is a $500 fee to participate.
  • Custom Programs: For faculty interested in short-term custom programs at the undergraduate or graduate level, these visits focus on showcasing the academic environments, logistical support, and local partnerships that bring your curriculum to life abroad. You'll explore potential excursion options, global partnerships, classroom and meeting spaces, accommodations, and on-site health & safety infrastructure.

Please contact your Campus Partnership representative for further details.

Individual Site Visits

WorldStrides offers Individual Site Visits at all of our program locations, allowing study abroad advisors and faculty to gain firsthand knowledge of our program offerings. If you're planning to be in a city where WorldStrides operates a program, we invite you to schedule an individual site visit to gain firsthand insight into our student experience and global partnerships.

These visits are tailored to meet your goals—whether you're reviewing a location for general advising purposes, assessing program fit for your students, or considering a site for a new faculty-led program.

A typical individual visit may include:

  • A guided tour of the host university campus

  • A walkthrough of student housing options

  • A meeting with our on-site staff to review academic offerings, health & safety protocols, and student support

  • Optional visits to nearby cultural sites or co-curricular activity locations

  • A meeting with a local corporate partner to explore potential business visits

Visits are typically structured as half- or full-day experiences, based on your schedule and interests. Itineraries are subject to availability of on-site staff and tailored to your role and objectives.
