Pay your respects to the
hundreds of thousands of brave men and women who
sacrificed their lives for our country. During the Changing of
the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, reflect on the
true meaning of sacrifice while Taps is played to honor the
fallen soldiers
† Devotional Discussion: Learn from the sacrifices of others

Contemplate Lincoln’s achievements and
stand where Martin Luther King, Jr., stood when he delivered
his famous “I Have a Dream” speech.

Vietnam Veterans Memorial
Scan more than 58,000 names
inscribed on the Wall, representing the men and women who
were killed or missing in action during the Vietnam War.

mansion he shared with Martha, and an education center that

(picture stop) Snap some photos in
front of the world’s tallest stone monument, a tribute to our first president.
†Spend some time discussing the significant influence our Founding Fathers had on our country.
Smithsonian Institution
Discover some of the museums
making up the Smithsonian Institution, such as the National
History Museum, the National Air and Space Museum, the
National Gallery of Art, and the American History Museum.
Museum of the Bible
Learn about the narrative, history, and impact of The Bible in a series of specialized exhibits

Jefferson Memorial
Read some of Jefferson’s famous
writings on the walls of this great memorial and gain a new
respect for the foresight he had while writing the Declaration
of Independence.
FDR Memorial
Learn how Franklin D. Roosevelt reached out
to the American people during the Great Depression. The words of FDR line the walls of the four rooms of this memorial and help you to imagine the comfort they brought to Americans during extremely difficult times.
Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial
Experience D.C.’s
newest memorial dedicated to the famous civil rights activist.

Walk the underground tunnels where lawmakers
meet; explore the Visitor Center (by appointment); take in the
miles of books at the Library of Congress; and sit on the steps
of the highest court in the land, the U.S. Supreme Court.

See the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and
Declaration of Independence, and understand how they
impact our lives today and ensure our basic freedoms.

Deepen your appreciation for the
16 million who served and 400,000 who lost their lives in
battle while fighting to protect our rights and freedoms.
Iwo Jima Memorial
Think about the inscription on the
statue’s base, “Uncommon valor was a common virtue,” while
you explore this tribute to the U.S. Marines who died while
serving our country.
Pentagon Memorial
Visit the outdoor installation honoring
the 184 victims of the September 11, 2001, attacks at the

Enjoy the excitement of a Broadway show and pose
for a group photo in Times Square.

Visit the iconic and lively center of New York City’s theatre district known as the “crossroads of the world”.

ferry to Liberty Island, where you will visit this landmark monument to
freedom that greets newcomers to New York Harbor.

Experience the immigration museum on the historic
site of America’s primary gateway for millions of immigrants. See
the more than 700,000 names listed on the Wall of Valor, and even
research your ancestors by accessing passenger records in the
museum’s interactive history center.
†Imagine living in a place where your faith in God is forbidden. Take some time to discuss the sacrifices and struggles of these immigrants.
LunchWall Street and the Financial District
Visit America’s financial center,
home to the New York Stock Exchange, the Federal Reserve Bank of
New York, Chase Manhattan Bank, and Federal Hall.

Reflect as you visit the twin pools paying

Some WorldStrides programs offer incentives for early registration, so please refer to the information provided to you by your program leader for complete details.
When registering, you'll need to use the Trip ID assigned to your program. Each ID is unique and can also be found on the registration information provided to you by the educator leading this program.

Can students earn academic credit from their travel programs?
Yes! We love when students get credit for learning. This helps them get a step ahead, whether its for a college application or for a future career.
All middle programs include the opportunity to earn free high school credit. Our Perspectives programs offer high school students the opportunity to earn three free college preparatory credits. Most of our higher education programs include credit from the academic institution of record.
Our online courses make it easy to earn credit at a student's own pace. WorldStrides offers coursework that has been carefully designed to combine the field experience with online assignments that demonstrate achievement of learning objectives. Acceptance of credit is always at the discretion of the receiving institution. Click here for more information.

What's included in the cost of a domestic or high school international program?
Every program is customized and what's included may vary from trip to trip. A typical program includes transportation (air or motor coach), hotel accommodations, meals, a daily guide (Course Leader or Tour Director), sightseeing activities, and immersive educational content. All programs also include all of our safety provisions and support.
The registration letter provided by the teacher leading your program has all the inclusion details for your specific program.
