Dr. Zibin Guo

Director, Wheelchair/Adaptive Tai Chi for Veterans (USVA) UC Foundation Professor of Medical Anthropology Department of Social, Cultural and Justice Studies
Zibin Guo is a UC Foundation Professor of Anthropology. He specializes in applied medical anthropology and have extensive research background in cross-cultural medicines & healing arts, aging & health, complementary medicine, community health, culture and disability studies.

Dr. Katherine Karl

Henry Hart Professor of Management
Dr. Katherine Karl is the Henry Hart Professor of Management in the Rollins College of Business at UTC and holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from Michigan State University. Dr. Karl has taught a wide variety of courses in the field of management including human resource management, employment law, labor relations, training and development, management skills, grievance and arbitration, organizational behavior, principles of management and strategic management. She has led short-term study abroad courses including trips to Peru, Argentina and Brazil and will be leading a trip to South Africa (December) later this year. Her research publications have focused on workplace polices related to employee attire and appearance, social media, workplace fun, workplace romance, employment termination, and also on generational differences, job values, performance feedback, and the use of videotaped feedback in management education and development. She has also served as a consultant for several companies in Indiana, West Virginia and Tennessee on issues of employee satisfaction, leadership, team building, and employee selection.
