Got Talent? Use It To Raise Money For Your WorldStrides Program!
Looking for a unique way to raise money for your WorldStrides program? Many WorldStrides groups have fundraising success by hosting benefit concerts and shows. The students take part in organizing every aspect of the event, from finding performers to advertising. Here are a few ideas for how students can apply this idea in your school:
- Host a school-wide evening talent show. Invite parents, students, and the community to the event, and charge a small fee for admission.
- Ask the school band and/or orchestra to perform a concert. Advertise and sell tickets around the community.
- Invite local bands to your auditorium and host a battle of the bands. Charge each band a small fee in order to compete, and sell tickets to spectators.
