AHSTF 2016: Rehearsals and Scottish Dancing

Scottish weather… We’ve had it all today. We awoke to bright blue skies, only to have the clouds roll in. After a quick shower, the sun was back for a brief visit, only to replaced clouds and another short shower. The rain and clouds didn’t dampen spirits at American High School Theatre Festival, however!

Today’s focus has been on rehearsals. Groups took advantage of the option to book our rehearsal spaces to run through their shows before they take the stage here in Edinburgh. Some groups also had tech rehearsals on the schedule for today, working with our topnotch tech team to dial in lights, sound, and blocking. They will be ready for opening day!

We also held our second of three Ceilidhs tonight. Part of tonight’s Ceilidh was broadcasted live on Facebook. Check out the Ceilidh video to see some of our Scottish dance moves!

Tomorrow marks opening day for a number of our groups, including performances on the Royal Mile. We’re so excited to see these performances – they’re going to be great! Be on the lookout for photos from tomorrow’s Royal Mile performances!
