Day 1 : Friday, January 17
Arrive in Washington, D.C.

Meet your WorldStrides Course Leader and prepare for an action-packed adventure.

Snap a picture with your group of the world's tallest stone monument dedicated to our nation's first president.

World War II Memorial

Honors the 16 million who served and the 400,000 that died in the U.S. Armed Forces during WWII, and all who supported the war efforts from home.

Depart for Williamsburg, VA

Dinner

Evening Program: Storyteller

Experience 18-th century stories while participating in a dynamic performance with costumed interpreters.

Day 2 : Saturday, January 18
Breakfast and hotel check-out

Colonial Williamsburg

During this 2-hour tour, you'll view a replica of the original site where those three famous shipped landed in 1607. You'll also see a Powhatan Indian Village, James Fort, and a Museum.

Lunch

Colonial Williamsburg

Experience different aspects of colonial life and meet people of the past—a wigmaker, blacksmith, tinsmith, or apothecary!

Depart for Washington, D.C.

Inauguration Celebration

Enjoy dinner and an evening at Pinstripes in Georgetown with other students from across the country. Enjoy a great night of dining, bowling, and bocce.

Capitol Hill Grounds Tour

Take a walk around one of the most famous hills in the world. See the U.S. Capitol up-close-and-personal, the Supreme Court, and the Library of Congress.

National Archives

Home of the original Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence, and understand how they impact our lives today and ensure our basic freedoms.

Lunch

Arlington National Cemetery

The most famous military cemetery in the country! See the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. You'll also see the Kennedy Gravesites and the Challenger Memorial.

Iwo Jima Memorial

A tribute to all U.S. Marines, based on the famous WWII photo by Joe Rosenthal.

Dinner

Lincoln Memorial

In remembrance of former President Abraham Lincoln and the great nation he fought to preserve during the Civil War.

Korean War Veterans Memorial

Tribute to the men and women who defended South Korea in the Korean War.

Vietnam Veterans Memorial

Dedicated to the more than 58,000 men and women killed or missing in Vietnam.

Swearing in of the President and Vice President of the United States.

Inaugural Event: Parade

Witness of the pageantry along Pennsylvania Avenue

Dedicated to our third president and the author of the Declaration of Independence.

FDR Memorial

In remembrance of former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the three terms he served.

MLK Memorial

Honors the famous civil rights activist, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Day 5 : Tuesday, January 21

Ford's Theatre and Petersen House

(by appointment) Where President Lincoln was shot and later died on that fateful day.

White House Picture Stop

Gather your group in front of the most famous house in the world. Take a close look - you may even see the President and First Lady.

Smithsonian Institution

You'll have time to explore two great museums: National History Museum and the National History Museum

Dinner and depart Washington D.C. for home
