Your adventure, day by day

Day 1 : Departure from your airport
Day 2 : Arrive in Casablanca
Casablanca

Know locally as Casa, Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco, both in population and size of economy, and host to the country's primary naval base. No longer a safe haven for pirates Casablanca is now a thriving, and rather European feeling, center of industry, art and fashion.

Hassan II Mosque

Visit the site of the magnificent Hassan II Mosque. After visiting the mosque and enjoying a tour with your French-speaking Moroccan guide.

Dinner in local restaurant

Enjoy an evening meal with your group.

Day 3 : Douar Sbiti - Cooking Class
Douar Sbiti

Drive to Douar Sbiti, a village in the Atlas Mountains. Prepare questions for local families (in French).

Cooking Class

Attend a French-spoken cooking class led by a well-known chef! Take note of the recipe and use your new French vocabulary to comment and ask questions!

Day 4 : Morocco
Atlas Mountain

Drive through the stunning rock formations and small villages tucked between the Atlas Mountain cliffs.

Argan Industry Presentation

Attend a presentation about the Argan industry in Morocco (in French).

Dinner

Enjoy a meal at a traditional auberge.

Day 5 : Morocco - Guided Hike
Local Guide Tour

Hike around the area with a local guide, and learn about the flora and fauna of the area.

Sahara

Take a drive to the Sahara. En-route, play games in French, pass through amazing landscapes of olive trees and marvel at small Moroccan villages. Upon arrival, we will prepare for our camel caravan journey into the dunes at sunset. Chat with the Bedouins who care for the camels and maintain the desert camp. Enjoy a moonlit walk on the dunes before falling asleep in traditional Moroccan tents.

Day 6 : Experience the Sahara
Moroccan Moonwalking

Try sand boarding or “Moroccan Moonwalking” through the dunes before packing up and heading back to Merzouga.

Ait Benhaddou

Arrive in the 14th century village of Ait Benhaddou to stay the night in your own mudbrick Kasbah. Before dinner, participate in a Kasbah scavenger hunt where we will use our French language skills.

Enjoy an evening meal with your group.

Day 7 : Marrakech
High Atlas Mountains

After a drive through the towering peaks of the High Atlas Mountains, we’ll arrive in the afternoon and check into our riad.

Dinner

Meet with some Marrakechi locals for a cross-cultural discussion over dinner at a local French-Moroccan restaurant.

Day 8 : Marrakech
Shop for Secret Santa

Use your French language skills to bargain in the markets and don’t forget to buy something for your “secret sadiqii” (the Moroccan version of secret santa) – you’ll present your gifts to each other and use your French to explain your choice later in the evening.Possible additional activities include: visit the Ben Youssef Madersa, Bahia Palace, Majorelle Garden, El Badi Palace, a photography studio cafe, and the Almoravid koubba(dome).

Enjoy our final dinner in Jamya El-Fna.
