WorldStrides Teacher of the Year: Nathan Dapper

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, WorldStrides will be showcasing our five Teacher of the Year recipients. These teachers have gone above and beyond, inside of the classroom and out. We are thrilled to honor them for their commitment to students and share their stories!

Today’s recipient is History teacher, Nathan Dapper from Twin Oaks Middle School in Prior Lake, Minnesota. He is a dedicated teacher with a passion for history and travel.

Everyone who crosses paths with Nathan has nothing but great things to say about him. His hard work and love for education shines through. According to his nominator, “Mr. Dapper is a teacher that gets so into what he is teaching that we all see his eyes sparkle. He has a son with cancer who is very young and seeing Mr. Dapper show up to school every day with a smile on his face and a quick “hello” in the hallway is so inspiring. He is that one amazing teacher that allows his students to have an opinion and be part of every conversation. There was not one day when I did not look forward to coming to his class. He has a way with teaching history. He makes the stories come alive. Mr. Dapper genuinely cares about his students and makes them all feel valued and loved.”
