Travel To The 2017 FIL Women’s Lacrosse World Cup

WorldStrides Excel programs has launched a new sports tour package that allows women’s collegiate and girls’ youth lacrosse teams to travel to England for the 2017 FIL Women’s Lacrosse World Cup!

The FIL Women’s Lacrosse World Cup is the premier event of the international lacrosse calendar, showcasing the highest level of lacrosse competition over a 9-day period. It will take place at Surrey Sports Park in Guildford, England, July 13–22, 2017.

“We are extremely excited to offer this opportunity for lacrosse teams,” Eric McAleer, Vice President, WorldStrides Excel programs, said. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that only comes around every four years. Traveling abroad for international competition allows players and coaches to enhance their game, contribute to the global growth of the sport and experience a different culture.”

Collegiate programs will play friendly games with visiting nations or local club teams, while youth teams will compete in the World Festival of Lacrosse. All tours will include admission to World Cup matches, sightseeing, and opportunities to work with local youth lacrosse teams to support global development of the sport.
