WorldStrides Teacher of the Year: Sports - Conor Prachar

Our Program Leaders – your teachers and coaches – are the heart and soul behind our programs. It’s the teacher students will remember. This year, for Teacher Appreciation Week, we asked students and parents who have participated in recent WorldStrides programs to nominate their program leaders for WorldStrides Teacher of the Year to honor their hard work and dedication. Each day this week, we will announce a WorldStrides Teacher of the Year.

Our WorldStrides Teacher of the Year: Sports is Conor Prachar. Coach Prachar was named the Head Coach of Hood College’s Women’s Soccer Team earlier this year. An alumnus of Hood College, Coach Prachar served as an assistant coach with the men’s program from 2012-15.

Additionally, Coach Prachar traveled to Scotland with us earlier this year with the 2003 boys MSYSA ODP team. Of his trip, he said:

“The cultural experience of traveling to Scotland with our 2003 boys was absolutely fantastic. WorldStrides Excel Sports crafted an itinerary which did an excellent job of balancing match play, training schedules and sightseeing for our week abroad. The boys were constantly upbeat when exploring historical cities, stepping out of the tunnel at Celtic Park and even on the bus as we drove through the countryside. I would recommend this type of trip to anyone. For a first time traveler or an experienced adventurer, a soccer tour is a totally unique way to explore the world.”
