Experience the majestic grandeur of the South Pole and see it through the penguins’ eyes on an exhilarating, first-of-its-kind ride. Then, step out and explore their colony in an expanse that takes you above and below their icy world.
Did you know?
- In the exhibit, the air temperature is 32ºF, the water temperature is 45ºF, and 6000 pounds of snow fall daily.
- Although Antarctica has few human inhabitants, parts of it are claimed by seven different nations. The area is protected by the Antarctic Treaty, which bans military activity, nuclear testing, and waste dumping.
