Explore The Roots of the Constitution at James Madison's Montpelier

Through a new partnership with Montpelier, WorldStrides participants have the exciting opportunity to explore the newly restored home of the Father of the Constitution and the woman who inspired the title “First Lady.”

James Madison’s leadership brought about the creation of the U.S. Constitution, and his innovative ideas made it a success. His influence still impacts us as Americans every day. Students will have the opportunity to stand in the library where Madison first envisioned the Constitution, walk in the woods where he contemplated representative democracy, and gaze west at the Blue Ridge Mountains as they imagine the great plans he had for the future.

This new program includes a short DVD to introduce the fourth President and Montpelier, a 20-minute educational mansion tour, a choice of several 40-minute interactive educational programs, and a pizza and soda dinner. Montpelier is located 30 minutes northeast of historic Charlottesville, VA, and is about two hours away from both Washington, D.C., and Williamsburg, VA.

Program Leaders, are you interested in adding Montpelier to your 2012 itinerary? Call your WorldStrides representative at 1-800-999-7676 to add this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to your trip!
