Teach Through Educational Travel: Oktoberfest
- Oktoberfest is a 16 day long festival. It celebrates German and Bavarian history and culture. Flowers are used to decorate the floats in the parades, similar to the floats in the Rose Parade on New Years Day in Pasadena, CA. Look through these slides of the Rose Parade and study the image from the Oktoberfest float. Design a float to celebrate an aspect of your culture.
- Oktoberfest is a celebration of beer. There are many food festivals around the world that celebrate a wide variety of foods and drinks. Start here and plan a trip to at least 5 festivals that celebrate your favorite foods.
