World Autism Awareness Day

The second of April has been designated as World Autism Awareness Day, a day to acknowledge, celebrate the achievements of, and advocate for the rights of those with developmental disorders and neurodivergence throughout the world.

With a wide selection of offerings, WorldStrides helps participants find programs that supplement their strengths and abilities all while expanding their learning and professional development. Our STEM programs offer hands-on experiential learning projects that complement what is learned in the classroom. Group and individual travel programs offer worldwide access to learning where participants can see firsthand the sites that shaped the world as it is today. Participants can expand on their talents and interests in various sports, performing arts, and language immersion programs. At WorldStrides, we see the value in meeting participants where they are and providing them with the tools and resources to build themselves up.

Lifelong Learning Journey

WorldStrides provides educational travel and experiences for participants of all ages across their lifelong learning journey- but what does that mean? Let’s break it down:

  1. We focus on delivering high-quality and high-value immersive learning opportunities for all participants, no matter their age. Everyone can benefit from our educational programs because learning is a lifelong endeavor.
  2. We extend learning beyond the classroom walls–because education isn’t limited to the classroom–through a range of experiential programs, including educational travel, study abroad, language immersion, service-learning, career exploration, performing arts, sports, and more.
  3. We support our participants’ growth and development over time through a wide range of program offerings to meet their needs and interests, from elementary school to high school to college and beyond. In doing so, we provide participants with the opportunity to develop the social and emotional skills needed for success in their future careers and throughout their lives.

LEAP, or Learning through Exploring and Actively Participating, is our philosophy for successful experiential learning for all participants. With a focus on the entire relationship with the participant, LEAP employs a wide variety of learning styles to help engage our participants as they explore the world around them. Through our LEAP-focused programs, we strive to meet the developmental learning needs of participants throughout their experiences.

Our commitment to educational excellence and knowledge of the resources needed to support participants’ various developmental, behavioral, and medical needs sets us apart as a leader in the educational travel industry.
