Disappointment Turns into Excitement after WorldStrides Helps Two Schools in Need
I’m proud to share some news with you this week about our organization.
Last week, another company in the educational travel world filed for bankruptcy and left dozens of school groups in the Ohio area scrambling. When we heard this news, we made the decision to reach out to two groups who’d planned to travel to Washington D.C. this spring and make their trips happen – at no additional cost to them.
In total, we’ll be bringing over 300 people from Madeira Middle School in Cincinnati and Van Cleve Elementary School in Troy to Washington, D.C. as part of this effort.
Over the last few days, we’ve received many notes of gratitude from parents and teachers from the Ohio schools. We’ve also heard from many wonderful customers who saw the news and have been touched by our decision.
“Thank you for stepping in to save the Washington DC trip for Van Cleve students! Very kind! My son is very excited.” – Shana Harris
“THANK YOU!!! For saving the Van Cleve trip to DC! What an awesome company you have!” –Lynn Woodworth
“…Thank you for your generosity of making our DC trip possible!!!! It gives us all faith that there are still great/caring people in this world!” –Erica Nicole
We are humbled by their kind words.
Below are two news clips – one for each of the schools who’ll be traveling with us. I hope you’ll enjoy watching them and hearing directly from the families about how much this trip means to them. They affirm our commitment to educational travel and transforming students’ lives.
In closing, I’d like to extend a personal note of thanks to all the team members involved in making these trips happen. Your hard work in this compressed timeline is greatly appreciated.
