Pennsylvania West Olympic Development Programs Chooses WorldStrides Excel for International Soccer Tours

WorldStrides, the nation’s largest and most trusted educational travel provider, is pleased to announce that Pennsylvania West Olympic Development Programs (PA West ODP) is partnering with the company to deliver international soccer tours for their players through their WorldStrides Excel programs division. This is an exclusive, three year arrangement for the Pennsylvania teams.

PA West ODP cultivates standout youth soccer players to represent Pennsylvania, North-East Region, and the United States at the highest levels of competition. The addition of international travel to the PA West ODP player development strategy provides opportunities to play against top professional academy teams around the world and engage in a higher level of competition. The trips also facilitate evaluation by scouts for international teams for players in advance of extended formal try-outs.

Dr. Terry Eguaoje, PA West ODP Technical Director of Coaching and Player Development, says, “I am excited about our partnership with Excel International Sports to provide international training and competitions to our ODP players. Their experience, global contacts, passion for the game, and ability to completely tailor our international programs is beyond impressive. We believe our players will not only improve on their skills on these trips but also gain lifelong cultural lessons. Under terms of the agreement, 2017 U12 – U15 (players born 2002-2005) boys and girls teams will travel to London, England. All teams will travel to London and tours will include training, match play, stadium tours, cultural activities, and attendance at Premier League matches. Destinations for team travel in 2018 and 2019 teams will be determined at a later time.
