Take the Eurostar through the Channel Tunnel to France's capital.

Day 7 : Loire Valley Chateaux

Appreciate centuries of history in the beautiful chateau of Chenonceau. Visit Chartres Cathedral to see its lofty stained glass windows. Admire the contrasting spires and flying buttresses that make it one of the world's finest examples of Gothic architecture.

Day 8 : Versailles
Discover Versailles

Travel to Louis XIV's decadent Palace of Versailles. Tour the immense Hall of Mirrors, the royal apartments and the gardens.

Visit Zurich, an optional excursion, known as "Downtown Switzerland". The city acts as headquarters for five world banks and countless underground gold bullions. Later, explore the old town (Altstadt) and get a sense of why this city was named number one for best quality of life; stroll through parks and quays, relax by Lake Zurich or shop for products unique to Switzerland.

Up to Three College Credits Included with this Program

Through our Discovery for Credit Program, students traveling on an international WorldStrides program have the opportunity to earn academic credit by completing an online course that allows them to reflect upon many of the themes and topics explored during their travel program. Those in grades 6–12 at the time of travel can earn free elective high school credit upon successful completion of both the travel program and online course. Through our university partner, George Mason University, eligible students in grades 9-12 at the time of travel can earn up to three college credits upon successful completion of both the travel program and online course. Students who earn credit with WorldStrides will find this distinguishes them as online learners and gives them a jump-start on their path to a successful higher education experience.
