Take students on a school trip to see where history happened on our World War II in Europe travel program. Begin in London and explore the Imperial War Museum. Travel on to Normandy and visit the beaches where the Allies landed on D-Day. Continue on to Bastogne for a walking tour, then head to Cologne. Take a train to Nuremburg and visit the Rally Grounds. Then, it's on to Munich for a somber visit to Dachau Concentration Camp.

With your local guide, explore the Imperial War Museum and tour the Cabinet War Rooms, the underground shelter where Churchill and his staff met in 1940 as the bombs rained down on London.

Day 3 : London - Portsmouth

Day 4 : Normandy
Travel to Normandy by ferry

See Normandy

Visit the Memorial de Caen, and the Landing Museum at Arromanches. See for yourself the beaches where the Allies landed on D-day in 1944, the event that began the liberation of occupied Europe.

View the site of the Battle of the Bulge, and visit the Sherman Tank Monument on McAuliffe Square.

Day 7 : Bastogne - Cologne
WWII Battlefield Tour with a Local Guide

Exploring the Mardasson Memorial, tribute to the U.S. soldiers who died there; The Wood of Peace which includes 4,000 trees planted for veterans; and the Bastogne Historical Center.

Enjoy a walking tour of Germany's fourth largest city which spans both sides of the River Rhine.

Day 8 : Nuremburg
Transfer by Train to Nuremburg

Visit the 11 square kilometer Rally Grounds designed by Hitler's architect Albert Speer and host to Nazi Party rallies.

Continue to Munich

Explore Munich with a Local Guide

A local guide shows you the highlights of the city, including the Frauenkirche, the Glockenspiel, and the 1972 Olympic stadium. Marvel at Nymphenburg Palace, its 500 acres are lined with French trimmed hedges and boast three pavilions and miniature palace.

Up to Three College Credits Included with this Program

Through our Discovery for Credit Program, students traveling on an international WorldStrides program have the opportunity to earn academic credit by completing an online course that allows them to reflect upon many of the themes and topics explored during their travel program. Those in grades 6–12 at the time of travel can earn free elective high school credit upon successful completion of both the travel program and online course. Through our university partner, George Mason University, eligible students in grades 9-12 at the time of travel can earn up to three college credits upon successful completion of both the travel program and online course. Students who earn credit with WorldStrides will find this distinguishes them as online learners and gives them a jump-start on their path to a successful higher education experience.
