Day 4 : Rotorua
Kiwi Hatchery Guided Visit

Watch genuine conservation in action as you learn all about New Zealand’s national icon, the kiwi. See the hatchery’s incubators and watch the adult kiwis forage in the nocturnal house.

Visit the Agrodome

Rotorua's Agrodome, located in the heart of scenic farmland, offers a fun and educational world-famous show. Learn all about the various breeds of sheep of New Zealand. After the show, a visit to the Farmyard Nursery is not to be missed! - Watch a sheep-shearing demonstration.

Te Puia and Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley

A local guide brings you to Te Puia and amazing Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley, with its active geysers, hot springs and mud pools.

Skyline Gondola Ride and Skyline Luge

Enjoy a scenic skyline gondola ride this evening and experience a downhill adventure on the Skyline Luge.

Day 5 : Kaingaroa Forest

This morning you will visit the largest forest in the North Island of New Zealand. Kaingaroa Forest is a privately owned forest and one of the oldest softwood plantation forests in the world.

Day 6 : Wellington
Explore the Blue Mountains & Mount Victoria

Head to the Blue Mountains today to explore Mount Victoria, a historic mountain village, and the beautiful botanic gardens.

Visit the Parliament of New Zealand (pending availability).

Tour Te Papa Museum

Tour Te Papa Museum, the national museum of New Zealand, with a local guide.

Day 7 : Christchurch
Flight to Christchurch

Board a morning flight to Christchurch.

International Antarctic Centre

Learn about the creatures of Antarctica at the International Antarctic Centre, including a Penguin Encounter.

Enjoy a Snowmobile Ride this Afternoon

Day 8 : Kaikoura - Whale Watching
Full Day Excursion to Kaikoura

Take a full-day excursion to cross the farmland of North Canterbury to the coastal township of Kaikoura. Board a whale watching boat for the edge of the continental shelf.

Day 9 : Christchurch
TranzAlpine Rail Service

Board the TranzAlpine Rail Service into the Southern Alps.

Arthur's Pass National Park

Stroll the beech forests of Arthur’s Pass National Park.

The staff is specially trained to monitor events domestically and around the world, and has dozens of contingency plans in place to help us jump into action when necessary. The Tour Central number for your group is printed on the WorldStrides name badges that are given to all our travelers for easy access should you need it. Up to Three College Credits Included with this Program

Through our Discovery for Credit Program, students traveling on an international WorldStrides program have the opportunity to earn academic credit by completing an online course that allows them to reflect upon many of the themes and topics explored during their travel program. Those in grades 6–12 at the time of travel can earn free elective high school credit upon successful completion of both the travel program and online course. Through our university partner, George Mason University, eligible students in grades 9-12 at the time of travel can earn up to three college credits upon successful completion of both the travel program and online course. Students who earn credit with WorldStrides will find this distinguishes them as online learners and gives them a jump-start on their path to a successful higher education experience.
