L.E.A.P to learn Our learning difference

Our trademarked approach to learning—LEAP—actively involves students in what they're seeing and doing. This active engagement between students, the places they visit, and their Course Leaders allows students (and teachers) to absorb more and build their knowledge and social skills. We’re an actual school We’re a school, too.

WorldStrides is accredited by educational bodies across the country, and we have a dedicated Curriculum and Academics Department—this means we're an actual school (we just don't have walls!). As a school, we can offer students high school and college credit, and teachers free professional development. Welcome to real-world learning Travel brings the classroom to life.

Whether reliving the past or discovering the future, true learning can't be done from a distance. It requires hands-on exploration and travel delivers it! When students get up close with the subjects they've only read about in books, learning moments are brought to life in a way in a way not possible in the classroom.

What our teachers and travelers say about our science discovery trips?

“My Mom asked me, ‘What do you think about WorldStrides?’ Before the trip I said, ‘Sounds interesting.’ Now, after the trip I say, ‘I don’t think I knew that Worldstrides was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.’  This program has shown me education is not a one-way street.”
—8th grade traveler, Michigan

“I think this is a wonderful opportunity for a child to become independent and enjoy a variety of scientific programs, many of which are not available any other way.”
—Kate, Massachusetts

“My son enjoyed every aspect of this adventure! He loved swimming with the dolphins, visiting the sea turtle hospital, kayaking with his friends, and exploring the Everglades. He came home thrilled.”
—Janine, Florida

Comments about WorldStrides Science Themed Programs:

World strides did an amazing job putting this trip together! Hiking on the glacier was the highlight of the trip. The hotels and buses were also great. The tours were very nice, and the food was wonderful. The kids enjoyed stopping at the high temperature hot springs and being able to eat the bread and eggs cooked in the ground. The waterfalls were beautiful as well. The Black Sand beach was a big hit as well. It was nice that we had some free time in the evenings for the kids to explore the towns on their own. I wish we had been able to do a horseback ride possibly in place of one waterfall visit or done in place of the hike on the first day if something had to be adjusted. I also would have liked to hike around volcano as in the ad it looked like we would be able to do. A suggestion for future trips is to let people know that they will be packing sack lunches at the hotel 2 days so they would be able to go to the grocery to buy some extras to go with the sandwich or have the hotel provide something to go along with sandwiches like chips or cookies. Our tour guide Raven was awesome!!!! She is highly recommended!!!
