Enjoy a hands-on STEM experience in London, including stops at Bletchley Park, home to the revolutionary WWII codebreakers, and the Science Museum. Students can look forward to taking part in a STEM-themed scavenger hunt through London led by your Tour Director, cruising down the Thames, and visiting the Royal Observatory of Greenwich.

Meet your Tour Director
Your 24-hour Tour Director will meet you at the airport and remain with your group until your final airport departure.
London city walk
Take a city walk through the heart of London. Cross Trafalgar Square, a lively gathering place for the city, and step inside the National Gallery, home to masterpieces by da Vinci, Monet, and Rembrandt. Continue past the bright lights of Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square, and finish in Covent Garden, where markets, street performers, and the Royal Opera House showcase London’s lively spirit.
Day 3
London guided sightseeing tour
Join a licensed local guide for an in-depth tour of London. See Buckingham Palace, where you may catch the Changing of the Guard, and stroll through Hyde Park, home to the famous Speakers’ Corner. View Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, then step inside Westminster Abbey, the coronation site of English monarchs. Continue to St. Paul’s Cathedral, Christopher Wren’s masterpiece, and admire the iconic Tower Bridge spanning the Thames.

London Eye Ferris wheel ride (optional)
Soar 450 feet over London on the world’s highest Ferris wheel. The London Eye, the city’s fourth tallest structure, lifts visitors above the River Thames for spectacular views. Its futuristic glass capsules provide unobstructed 180-degree panoramas, and on a clear day you can see as far as Windsor Castle, 25 miles away.
STEM scavenger hunt
Take interactive learning to another level with a Tour Director-led STEM-themed scavenger hunt through the city of London. Take part in this adventure, complete exciting activities and solve fun clues. Each clue and every activity is built to maximize on-tour experiential learning.
Classic fish & chips dinner
Nothing says local flavor quite like fish and chips. Join your Tour Director at a traditional pub to enjoy this classic dish, usually served with a side of malt vinegar. From bustling cities to seaside towns, “chippies” remain a favorite stop for locals and visitors alike.

Stonehenge & Salisbury guided excursion (optional)
Uncover the mystery of Stonehenge, the ancient circle of massive stones built around 3000 B.C. and believed to be a sacred site or early astronomical calendar. Continue to the medieval city of Salisbury to visit its stunning cathedral, home to the tallest spire in Britain and one of four surviving original copies of the Magna Carta, displayed in its beautiful 13th-century Chapter House.
Day 6
Science Museum visit
Ready for some mental floss? Explore Atmosphere: Exploring Climate Science to uncover the story of climate change. See the first jet engine in Flight, the 10,000-Year Clock in Making the Modern World, and the radio that kept the Titanic in touch. Then visit Who Am I? for a hands-on look at personality, intelligence, and language.
Faraday Museum visit
Today we will visit the Faraday Museum, located within the Royal Institute. Over the last 200 years the Royal Institute has been home to famous scientists whose discoveries have shapedthe modern world: Humphry Davy's miners' safety lamp; Michael Faraday's work on electromagnetic induction; John Tyndall's discovery of the greenhouse effect. While exploring the Faraday Museum, don't miss the magnetic laboratory, displayed as it was in the 1850s and sits opposite of a current state-of-the-art nanotechnology laboratory.
Day 7
Thames River cruise
Enjoy a Thames River Cruise, a relaxing way to view many of London's most magnificent sights. Our trip will take us past the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben and under the famous Tower Bridge.
Thames Barrier guided visit
A visit to the Thames Barrier offers an insightful look into its engineering, operation, and environmental impact, showcasing real-world applications of science and technology in flood defense. The barrier plays a crucial role in protecting London from flooding caused by high tides and storm surges, safeguarding key infrastructure and residential areas.
Greenwich Tour Director-led sightseeing
After your cruise down the River Thames, join your Tour Director for a walking tour through the historic district of Greenwich in South London. Explore Greenwich Market, filled with unique crafts, antiques, and local treats. Admire the grand architecture of the Old Royal Naval College and visit the National Maritime Museum to learn about Britain’s rich seafaring history. Step aboard the Cutty Sark, the world’s last surviving tea clipper, before enjoying some free time to relax in one of London’s greenest and most scenic areas.
Royal Observatory of Greenwich visit
The Royal Observatory was first founded in 1675 as a place for King Henry VIII’s Astronomer Royal to perfect the art of navigation. Explore the exhibits displaying 17th century astronomical instruments, unveil the mysteries of the universe in the interactive astronomy exhibit and see the largest telescope of its kind in England housed in the great domed building next to the observatory.

At program sign-up you can opt to pay in full, or break up the cost of your trip with the Advantage Payment Plan. This plan allows you to pay a small initial deposit, then have your remaining payments spread out into affordable monthly amounts.

Fundraising Tools
Our easy-to-use tools put students in the driver's seat of their own fundraising efforts. Students can send e-cards, share links on social media, and even send out printed letters through WorldStrides' Gift of Education program. In one click friends and family members can make a direct donation to the trip - with 100% of the money raised going to offset their trip price. Thousands of students pay for their entire trip each year through the Gift of Education.
