Students can look forward to visiting iconic spots including Blarney Castle, the historic Lake District home of William Wordsworth, and Edinburgh Castle. Overnight flight to Ireland (Shannon)

Day 3
Ring of Kerry excursion
Get a feel for Ireland’s emerald beauty on an excursion around the Iveragh Peninsula on the panoramic coastal route, Ring of Kerry. Along the 112 miles of breathtaking views, you’ll spy 360 degrees of the vast Atlantic Ocean, the Lakes of Killarney, the Macgillycuddy’s Reeks (Ireland’s tallest mountains), and every shade of green known to the Emerald Isle.
Sheep farm visit (March to October)
Mountain sheep have dotted the hills around Killarney for centuries. Visit a traditional Irish sheep farm to meet these fluffy locals up close. Please note: During winter months, this activity will be replaced with a visit to the Bog Village.
Day 4
Travel to Dublin via Blarney Castle
Dublin, the capital of the Republic of Ireland, blends rich history with vibrant culture. Explore the Book of Kells, Christ Church and St. Patrick’s Cathedrals, and the medieval streets of Temple Bar, where centuries-old walls and lively pubs capture the spirit of the city.
Blarney Castle visit
Stop for a visit to Blarney Castle, the medieval stone structure built on solid limestone around 1466. (The slivers of windows served as a defense, enabling Lord Blarney and his men to shoot arrows at invaders while staying protected from within.) Climb the spiral staircases to the top of the castle to kiss the Blarney stone. Legend promises that if you lean backwards and kiss the stone upside-down, you’ll be granted the “gift of the gab” (the privilege of babbling questionable commentary for seven years). Before you leave, wander the path to Rock Close to ponder the druidic circle of mystical stones. Enter Lord Blarney’s dungeon if you dare.

LEAP Out of Ireland
Walk a mile in the shoes of an Irish emigrant. Uncover personal accounts of the circumstances that forced these inhabitants out of the country. Reflect on the feelings you would have felt in their shoes and discover how their departure shaped the history of Ireland.
Day 5
Dublin guided sightseeing tour
Join a licensed guide to explore Dublin’s finest sights. Walk through Phoenix Park, Europe’s largest walled city park, home to red deer and the Phoenix Column. Visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where Ireland’s patron saint once baptized converts, and see O’Connell Street and Parnell Square. At Trinity College, Ireland’s oldest university, enter the Old Library’s Long Room to view the Book of Kells, an illuminated 9th-century manuscript of the four Gospels, famed for its intricate Celtic designs.
Dublin city walk
Get a friendly introduction to Dublin with your Tour Director. Cross the Ha’Penny Bridge, stroll through the lively Temple Bar district, and stop at the Molly Malone statue. Along the way, see Georgian squares, castles, and cathedrals that showcase the character of Ireland’s capital.
EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum visit
Explore EPIC, the Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin’s Docklands, the original departure point for countless Irish emigrants. This interactive museum guides you through their reasons for leaving, the impact they made worldwide, and the enduring connections among Irish communities across the globe.

Ferry to Holyhead across the Irish Sea
Travel to North Wales
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch photo stop
That’s no typo. Visit the village with the longest name in Europe, commonly known as Llanfair PG or Llanfairpwll. Take a quick detour for a photo under the railway station sign and bring home proof of this 58-letter name!
Snowdonia National Park
The highest mountain in Wales, Mt. Snowdon (from Old English for “snow hill”), offers sweeping views across the British Isles from its summit on a clear day.
Day 7
Travel to Lake District via Rydal Mount
Journey to Britain’s largest national park, where meandering rivers cut through what some describe as the country’s most beautiful region. Along the scenic ride, encounter countless lakes glittering between rugged hills, jagged mountain peaks hovering above, and rippling waters flowing to and from every direction.
Rydal Mount Visit – Home of William Wordsworth
Visit the charming village of Grasmere, where poet William Wordsworth lived and wrote for decades. Tour Rydal Mount, his beloved home, and stroll through the gardens he designed. See his favorite writing nook overlooking the river and experience the inspiration behind his timeless verse.
Day 8
Travel to Highlands via Lake District & Loch Lomond
Gretna Green
Like an 18th-century European Vegas, Gretna Green became famous as the place for runaway weddings. After England’s 1754 law requiring parental consent for anyone under 21, young couples crossed the border to marry here—no Elvis impersonators needed.
Loch Lomond
Travel through the Highlands to Britain’s largest freshwater lake. Five miles wide and dotted with more than 30 islands, Loch Lomond is home to rich wildlife and stunning views. It remains one of Scotland’s most beloved recreation spots.
Day 9
Glencoe and Loch Ness excursion
Explore the breathtaking Highlands of Glencoe, surrounded by misty peaks and rich history. Visit the legendary Loch Ness, where a boat cruise offers views of the deep waters said to hide the elusive Nessie, and see Culloden Moor, site of the final Jacobite battle in 1746.
Day 10
Travel to Edinburgh via the Trossachs
Travel through the heart of the Scottish countryside, where dramatic peaks, quiet lochs, and peaceful glens create landscapes that inspired poet William Wordsworth. Visit Stirling Castle, a magnificent gray stone fortress that towers over the land from its cliffside perch. For centuries it held strategic importance, passing between Scottish and English hands countless times. Mary, Queen of Scots, was crowned here, and stories of ghosts still linger in its grand halls filled with medieval and Renaissance art and breathtaking views of the Highlands.
Stirling Castle visit
Tour Stirling Castle, a grand medieval fortress and former seat of Kings James IV and James V. Explore the Museum of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, featuring regimental colors, pipe banners, and silver. From the castle walls, take in sweeping views of the Wallace Monument.
Edinburgh city walk
The capital of Scotland, Edinburgh is a city of steep streets, stone buildings, and dramatic views, all watched over by the imposing Edinburgh Castle. Follow your Tour Director along the Royal Mile, which runs from Holyrood Palace to the castle, passing St. Giles’ Cathedral, long a center of learning and civic life in the city’s Old Town.
Day 11
Edinburgh guided sightseeing tour
Explore Edinburgh, the historic and cultural heart of Scotland. Led by a licensed guide, walk the Royal Mile through the city’s Old Town, from Edinburgh Castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Admire the elegant Georgian New Town, known for its neoclassical design, and gaze up at the 200-foot Sir Walter Scott Monument in East Princes Street Gardens, a tribute to one of Scotland’s greatest literary figures—and his loyal dog, Maida, immortalized below.
Edinburgh Castle visit
Perched atop an ancient volcanic rock, Edinburgh Castle commands the skyline with its imposing presence. Explore this medieval fortress, uncover its role in Scottish history, and take in sweeping views of the city below.

If you picture fairies as tiny and cute, think again. Take in a Scottish folklore show and learn about kelpies, banshees, and selkies that haunt the myths and legends of this rugged land.
Day 12
Fly to London
London city walk
Take a city walk through the heart of London. Cross Trafalgar Square, a lively gathering place for the city, and step inside the National Gallery, home to masterpieces by da Vinci, Monet, and Rembrandt. Continue past the bright lights of Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square, and finish in Covent Garden, where markets, street performers, and the Royal Opera House showcase London’s lively spirit.
Classic fish & chips dinner
Nothing says local flavor quite like fish and chips. Join your Tour Director at a traditional pub to enjoy this classic dish, usually served with a side of malt vinegar. From bustling cities to seaside towns, “chippies” remain a favorite stop for locals and visitors alike.
Day 13
London guided sightseeing tour
Join a licensed local guide for an in-depth tour of London. See Buckingham Palace, where you may catch the Changing of the Guard, and stroll through Hyde Park, home to the famous Speakers’ Corner. View Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, then step inside Westminster Abbey, the coronation site of English monarchs. Continue to St. Paul’s Cathedral, Christopher Wren’s masterpiece, and admire the iconic Tower Bridge spanning the Thames.

Windsor Castle guided excursion (optional)
See how the King relaxes on this guided tour of the royal weekend estate, originally built as a fortress in the 11th century under William the Conqueror. Visit the East Terrace Gardens, marvel at the Gothic St. George's Chapel, or peek into the rooms of Queen Mary's doll house with its gallery of pint-size perfect furniture.
Hard Rock Cafe dinner
Enjoy a meal at the original Hard Rock Cafe, a legendary spot for rock 'n' roll fans around the world.

Stonehenge & Salisbury guided excursion (optional)
Uncover the mystery of Stonehenge, the ancient circle of massive stones built around 3000 B.C. and believed to be a sacred site or early astronomical calendar. Continue to the medieval city of Salisbury to visit its stunning cathedral, home to the tallest spire in Britain and one of four surviving original copies of the Magna Carta, displayed in its beautiful 13th-century Chapter House.
Curry dinner
Indian food has been part of British life for nearly 400 years, and today curry dishes rival fish and chips in popularity. Sit down to an authentic Indian dinner, sampling a variety of fragrant, spice-filled dishes that show why this cuisine has become one of the nation’s favorites.

Travel from London to the City of Light on the Chunnel, then take a guided walk through the Latin Quarter to see landmarks like Notre-Dame. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Élysées, Eiffel Tower, and Paris Opera House. Visit the world-famous Louvre and cap off your stay with a scenic cruise along the Seine.
