Day 3
Seoul guided sightseeing tour
Discover Seoul, where soaring skyscrapers and K-pop culture blend with historic palaces and temples. Walk along Cheonggyecheon Stream, a restored canal dating back to the Joseon Dynasty, then explore Insadong Cultural Street, lined with shops for hanbok, teas, and folk crafts. Hike the Naksan City Fortress Trail for sweeping views of the capital’s skyline and history, and visit HiKR Ground, an immersive hub for Korean Wave culture.

DMZ excursion

LEAP Culinary Korea
Experience cooking Korean foods to get a taste for the cuisine. Cook a traditional Korean BBQ and work with Korea's most important ingredient, a flavorful mix of fermented vegetables known as kimchi.

Travel to Gwangju

Gwangju guided sightseeing tour
Experience a guided sightseeing tour of Gwangju, a vibrant city celebrated for its history, artistic culture, and key role in Korea’s democracy movement.
Day 7
Haeinsa Temple visit
Discover Tripitaka Koreana at Haeinsa Temple. This collection of 81,258 wooden printing blocks is the most complete collection of the Buddhist Canon found in East Asia
Travel to Gyeongju
Day 8
Gyeongju National Museum visit
Explore the Gyeongju National Museum, home to artifacts that highlight the history of the Silla Dynasty.
Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto visit
On the slopes of Mount Toham, the Seokguram Grotto houses a monumental Buddha gazing out to sea. Surrounded by intricate carvings of gods, Bodhisattvas, and disciples in high and low relief, the grotto is regarded as one of the finest masterpieces of Buddhist art in the Far East.
LEAP Sunmodo Training
Study and participate in the art of Sunmudo, a traditional Buddhist martial art native to the region. Learn the ways of Zen meditation while practicing balance and concentration.

Travel to Yongin
Korean Folk Village visit
Step back in time at the Korean Folk Village, a living museum showcasing traditional life from centuries past.
Hwaseong Fortress visit
Explore Hwaseong Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing the impressive military architecture of the late Joseon Dynasty.

In one click friends and family members can make a direct donation to the trip - with 100% of the money raised going to offset their trip price. Thousands of students pay for their entire trip each year through the Gift of Education.
