Overnight flight to Italy (Venice)

Arrive in Venice
Meet your Tour Director
Your 24-hour Tour Director will meet you at the airport and remain with your group until your final airport departure.
Day 3
Venice guided sightseeing tour
Discover Venice, a city built on more than 100 islands in a lagoon off the Adriatic. Begin in St. Mark’s Square and tour St. Mark’s Basilica, completed in 1094 and home to the relics of Venice’s patron saint. Continue with a guided visit of the Gothic Doge’s Palace with its ornate arches before continuing to a glass-blowing demonstration, showcasing the centuries-old tradition of Venice’s most famous craft.
Teatro La Fenice guided visit
Discover the opulence of one of Italy’s most famous opera houses as you marvel at the exquisite interior and learn about its history, including a devastating fire and a meticulous restoration.
Venice performance
Potential venues include (but not limited to): St. Mark's Basilica, the Chiesa di San Pietro di Castello (formerly the seat of the Bishop of Venice,) the Chiesa San Stae or a daytime concert at "Vivaldi Church" - the Chiesa di Santa Maria della Pieta (a formal evening concert can be arranged here for additional cost) or an exchange concert with a local school, univeristy or community group.

Travel to Florence

Accademia visit
Established in 1563, the Accademia represents a pivotal moment in art education, focusing on drawing, painting, and sculpting. A visit offers students an unparalleled opportunity to engage with iconic works, especially Michelangelo's David. Learners will explore techniques and historical contexts, fostering a deeper understanding of Renaissance art. This immersive experience not only enhances creativity but also aligns with curriculum standards, turning art appreciation into an actionable learning journey.

Rome city walk
Discover Rome’s iconic landmarks on a guided walk. At the Spanish Steps, see the “sinking ship” fountain, designed that way because of low water pressure that forced the artist to sink it below street level. Marvel at the Trevi Fountain’s Baroque grandeur, the Pantheon’s soaring dome, and Piazza Navona, where Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers anchors the bustling square.
Day 7
Ancient Rome guided walking sightseeing tour with Whisper headsets
Explore ancient Rome on a guided walking tour. Visit the Colosseum, where gladiators fought, wild animals emerged through trap doors, and even naval battles once filled the arena. Learn about the underground systems that powered the spectacles, then see the Forum Romanum, the political, religious, and commercial heart of the empire. Along the way, take in Piazza Venezia, where ancient history meets the grandeur of modern Rome.
Rome performance
Potential venues include (but are not limited to): the Pantheon, St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Gardens, the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, or Sant'Agnese in Agone near Piazza Navona. Groups may have the opportunity to perform during a service, present a standalone concert, or participate in exchange experiences with local schools, universities, or community organizations.
Day 8
Return home OR Extend your stay
Board your flight home or choose to extend your trip with a two-day visit to Naples. Step back in time with a guided visit to Pompeii, the ancient Roman city preserved in ash after Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 A.D. Explore the world’s oldest opera house, Teatro di San Carlo, a stunning centerpiece of Neapolitan opera history. Enjoy a memorable choir performance at one of Naples’ historic venues.

Students can send e-cards, share links on social media, and even send out printed letters through WorldStrides' Gift of Education program. In one click friends and family members can make a direct donation to the trip - with 100% of the money raised going to offset their trip price. Thousands of students pay for their entire trip each year through the Gift of Education.
