Overview
Our program brings you the best of both worlds: the consistency you rely on and the flexibility your group needs.
Bring your class to explore the heart of Celtic heritage on this tour through Ireland, Wales, Edinburgh, and London. Your students will visit Blarney Castle, home to the famed Stone, and Trinity College, before heading out to explore the natural beauty of Snowdonia National Park in Wales. They can also look forward to strolling down Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, visiting London’s National Gallery, and enjoying an authentic fish & chips dinner.

Day 4
Travel to Dublin via Blarney Castle
Dublin, the capital of the Republic of Ireland, blends rich history with vibrant culture. Explore the Book of Kells, Christ Church and St. Patrick’s Cathedrals, and the medieval streets of Temple Bar, where centuries-old walls and lively pubs capture the spirit of the city.
Blarney Castle visit
Stop for a visit to Blarney Castle, the medieval stone structure built on solid limestone around 1466. (The slivers of windows served as a defense, enabling Lord Blarney and his men to shoot arrows at invaders while staying protected from within.) Climb the spiral staircases to the top of the castle to kiss the Blarney stone. Legend promises that if you lean backwards and kiss the stone upside-down, you’ll be granted the “gift of the gab” (the privilege of babbling questionable commentary for seven years). Before you leave, wander the path to Rock Close to ponder the druidic circle of mystical stones. Enter Lord Blarney’s dungeon if you dare.
Dublin city walk
Get a friendly introduction to Dublin with your Tour Director. Cross the Ha’Penny Bridge, stroll through the lively Temple Bar district, and stop at the Molly Malone statue. Along the way, see Georgian squares, castles, and cathedrals that showcase the character of Ireland’s capital.
Day 5
Dublin guided sightseeing tour
Join a licensed guide to explore Dublin’s finest sights. Walk through Phoenix Park, Europe’s largest walled city park, home to red deer and the Phoenix Column. Visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where Ireland’s patron saint once baptized converts, and see O’Connell Street and Parnell Square. At Trinity College, Ireland’s oldest university, enter the Old Library’s Long Room to view the Book of Kells, an illuminated 9th-century manuscript of the four Gospels, famed for its intricate Celtic designs.

Day 6
Ferry to Holyhead across the Irish Sea
Travel to North Wales
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch photo stop
That’s no typo. Visit the village with the longest name in Europe, commonly known as Llanfair PG or Llanfairpwll. Take a quick detour for a photo under the railway station sign and bring home proof of this 58-letter name!

The highest mountain in Wales, Mt. Snowdon (from Old English for “snow hill”), offers sweeping views across the British Isles from its summit on a clear day.
Day 7
Travel to Edinburgh via the Lake District
Journey to Britain’s largest national park, where meandering rivers cut through what some describe as the country’s most beautiful region. Along the scenic ride, encounter countless lakes glittering between rugged hills, jagged mountain peaks hovering above, and rippling waters flowing to and from every direction.
Edinburgh city walk
The capital of Scotland, Edinburgh is a city of steep streets, stone buildings, and dramatic views, all watched over by the imposing Edinburgh Castle. Follow your Tour Director along the Royal Mile, which runs from Holyrood Palace to the castle, passing St. Giles’ Cathedral, long a center of learning and civic life in the city’s Old Town.

Perched atop an ancient volcanic rock, Edinburgh Castle commands the skyline with its imposing presence. Explore this medieval fortress, uncover its role in Scottish history, and take in sweeping views of the city below.

LEAP Who Rules?
Meet great Britons from history. Debate their merits and contributions to decide who is the greatest of them all!
Optional
Scottish folklore show (optional)
If you picture fairies as tiny and cute, think again. Take in a Scottish folklore show and learn about kelpies, banshees, and selkies that haunt the myths and legends of this rugged land.
Day 9
Travel to London by train
London city walk
Take a city walk through the heart of London. Cross Trafalgar Square, a lively gathering place for the city, and step inside the National Gallery, home to masterpieces by da Vinci, Monet, and Rembrandt. Continue past the bright lights of Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square, and finish in Covent Garden, where markets, street performers, and the Royal Opera House showcase London’s lively spirit.
Classic fish & chips dinner
