Overview
Blast off into three exciting days of STEM exploration through Houston, including a showstopping exploration of NASA’s Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, the global epicenter for space discovery. Your students can also look forward to designing a model rocket out of foam insulation and launching their very own space race! Also, your group will discover the secrets of the ocean at the Downtown Aquarium, wander the mind-boggling exhibits at the Museum of Natural Science, and learn more about dozens of species that call the Houston Zoo home.

Travel to Houston, TX
Houston Zoo visit
The Houston Zoo is home to wildlife from all corners of the globe. Gorillas, giraffes, elephants, storks, tortoises and many more.

Museum of Natural Science visit
The Houston Museum of Natural Science has five floors of permanent exhibits, spanning astronomy, space science, Native American culture, energy, paleontology, chemistry, geology, seashells and Texas wildlife, alongside rotating special exhibitions.
Downtown Aquarium visit
Downtown Aquarium isn’t your typical aquarium—it’s also an entertainment complex featuring a ferris wheel, carousel, and more. Home to around 300 species of marine life, it offers a variety of fascinating exhibits that combine education with fun.

Lonestar Flight Museum visit
This 130,000-square-foot museum houses a flying collection of rare and historic commercial, general aviation, and military aircraft. Step into the life of a pilot at the Flight Academy, where Ground School STEM lessons come to life. Explore two hangars filled with aviation innovations from the Dawn of Flight to today. At the Aviation Learning Center, conduct a pre-flight safety inspection of a real airplane and test your skills in a flight simulator.

Space Center visit: Stars & STEM Program
We are Go for Launch – Students will design a model rocket out of foam insulation then compete to see who can land on the Moon and Mars first. Students will discover information about NASAs new rocket, the SLS, trajectory, and Newton’s Laws of Motion.

Space Center visit: Stars & STEM Program
The NASA Tram Tour, which takes you to NASA Johnson Space Center, takes 60 to 90 minutes. Time spent inside Space Center Houston depends on whether your group views any large-screen films or live shows. Three to five hours is usually sufficient, however, we invite you to stay as long as you like!
