Overview
Bring your ensemble to discover Mozart’s birthplace on an exciting performance tour through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Between performances, your musicians will see Neuschwanstein Castle, explore the Deutsches Museum, admire the snow-capped Mount Pilatus, and discover the picturesque streets of Lucerne.
Itinerary
Day 1
Overnight flight to Germany (Munich)
Day 2
Meet your Tour Director
Your 24-hour Tour Director will meet you at the airport and remain with your group until your final airport departure.
Day 3
Hohenschwangau excursion
Visit the Bavarian village of Hohenschwangau and learn about Hohenschwangau Castle, the childhood home of King Ludwig II, with views of Lake Alpsee and the surrounding Alps. Then enjoy a scenic hike toward Neuschwanstein Castle and pause at Queen Mary’s Bridge for an unforgettable photo stop of the fairytale fortress and mountain landscape.
Day 4
Deutsches Museum visit
Learn about the history and progress of science and technology through state-of-the-art interactive exhibits in the world’s largest science museum, including the Mathematics Gallery.
Day 5
Salzburg city walk
Explore Salzburg’s Old Town, a maze of winding lanes, historic steeples, cobblestone streets, and open squares. Take in the grandeur of Residenz Square and admire the striking façade of Salzburg Cathedral before continuing to Mozart Square, where a statue honors the city’s most famous son. As you explore, listen for the Glockenspiel, an early 18th-century carillon whose 35 bells ring out over the cafés lining the square.

WorldStrides provides over $2.5 million in financial assistance each year to thousands of families. Families with annual adjusted gross incomes of less than $85,000 may qualify. One simple call to Customer Service and you’ll know how much may be available for your trip even before signing up. Please note: financial assistance is given on a first-come, first-served basis.

At program sign-up you can opt to pay in full, or break up the cost of your trip with the Advantage Payment Plan. This plan allows you to pay a small initial deposit, then have your remaining payments spread out into affordable monthly amounts.

Fundraising Tools
Our easy-to-use tools put students in the driver's seat of their own fundraising efforts. Students can send e-cards, share links on social media, and even send out printed letters through WorldStrides' Gift of Education program. In one click friends and family members can make a direct donation to the trip - with 100% of the money raised going to offset their trip price. Thousands of students pay for their entire trip each year through the Gift of Education.
