Overview

Tour the Imperial War Museum in London, including the Cabinet War Rooms, where Churchill took shelter as bombs rained down on London. Ferry to the Normandy beaches where the Allies landed on D-Day. Continue to Bastogne to learn about the famous siege on American forces during the Battle of the Bulge. Take a train to Nuremburg to visit the Nazi Rally Grounds. End the trip in Munich with a visit to Dachau Concentration Camp to pay respects to the millions killed during Hitler’s reign.

American Military Cemetery and Memorial visit at Colleville-sur-Mer
Visit the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer that honors American troops who died in Europe during World War II.
Day 5
Arromanches D-Day Museum visit
Ingenious engineering allowed the Allies to land at Arromanches on D-Day, when 600,000 tons of concrete were sunk to form an artificial harbor. Barges, jetties, and 10 miles of floating roadways brought troops ashore. At the Arromanches Museum, dioramas, models, and interactive displays bring this remarkable feat to life.

The museum’s sobering Fascination and Terror exhibition takes a deeper look at Nazi dictatorship and the history of party rallies during the Nazi regime.

Munich guided sightseeing tour
Join a licensed guide for a whirlwind look at Munich, from its medieval heart to modern landmarks. Stroll through Marienplatz to see the Neues Rathaus and its famous Glockenspiel, framed by the twin towers of the Frauenkirche. Visit the Residenz, then explore Olympiapark, built for the 1972 Games, and step into BMW Welt to experience innovation and sleek design.

Return home OR Extend your stay
Board your flight home or choose to spend one extra day in Munich with a full-day excursion to Berghof. Explore Hitler’s mountain residence in Berchtesgaden, including the historic Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle’s Nest), set amidst the stunning Bavarian Alps.
