Teach Through Educational Travel: The Eiffel Tower

Download a larger image and share the photo with your class, then try these discussion questions and classroom activities:

  • Share this video with your class explaining some facts and history about the Eiffel Tower.
  • The architect who designed the Eiffel Tower also designed another significant monument. Next share this video outlining the history of the Statue of Liberty.
  • Break students into small groups and have them discuss how the two monuments are similar and how they differ, both structural and symbolically.
