Overview

Visit the Vatican, then travel on to Florence where you will view Michelangelo's David. Then, it's off to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Visit Monaco and Carcassonne, then continue to Barcelona for a guided tour. Board a train to Madrid to visit the Royal Palace and the Cervantes Memorial. Finish your trip in Toledo.

Monaco & Eze half-day excursion (optional)
Take time out to explore the small principality of Monaco. See the casino in Monte Carlo, the royal palace and beautiful gardens. Nestled on the Mediterranean coast, you'll view stunning scenery and an abundance of yachts. Monaco is a playground for the wealthy! Stop for a visit in the charming village of Eze, a mountainside locale perched high above the sea.

Travel to Provence

Make a compelling sales pitch for a masterpiece by Cézanne, Monet, or another artist whose work highlights Provençal landscapes. Emphasize how the region’s unique light and scenery profoundly influenced their artistic vision.
Pont du Gard visit
A masterpiece of Roman engineering, the Pont du Gard aqueduct is one of the most stunning ancient monuments in Provence. Explore its arches and learn how this marvel carried water across the Gardon Valley for centuries.

Travel to Barcelona via Carcassonne
Medieval Carcasonne looks like a fairytale city from the past -- its turreted citadel, crenelated city walls, and Gothic arched city gates bring you back to the 13th century. Extensive restorations in the 1800s brought the formerly crumbling city back to life, and its hilltop perch provides views over the surrounding green plains and hills all the way to the Pyrenees.

Venture to the medieval walled town of Carcassonne, famous for its medieval citadel and imposing watchtowers.

This breathtaking church, considered the masterpiece of architect Antoni Gaudí, has been under construction since 1882 and is expected to be completed in 2026. Despite its unfinished state, its 18 soaring towers soar above Barcelona’s skyline, making it a must-see landmark.
La Pedrera - Casa Milà visit
This magnificent building is the epitome of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí’s fantastical style. See how he uses twisted pillars, curved archways and warped metal balconies to create a totally unique design all his own.

Reina Sofia Museum visit
Officially Spain’s National Museum of 20th Century Art, the Reina Sofía houses masterpieces by Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí. Its most famous work is Picasso’s Guernica, a powerful anti-war statement. Beyond the galleries, the museum also offers a vast library, archive, bookstore, and restaurant, making it a hub of art and culture.

Return home OR Extend your stay
Board your flight home or choose to extend your trip with a three-night stay in Paris. Fly to the City of Lights and enjoy guided sightseeing, including visits to the Louvre and the Palace of Versailles. Participate in our Leap Seize the Château! program, a dynamic costume workshop where you’ll step into the roles of historical figures to explore the events leading to the French Revolution.

At program sign-up you can opt to pay in full, or break up the cost of your trip with the Advantage Payment Plan. This plan allows you to pay a small initial deposit, then have your remaining payments spread out into affordable monthly amounts.

Fundraising Tools
Our easy-to-use tools put students in the driver's seat of their own fundraising efforts. Students can send e-cards, share links on social media, and even send out printed letters through WorldStrides' Gift of Education program. In one click friends and family members can make a direct donation to the trip - with 100% of the money raised going to offset their trip price. Thousands of students pay for their entire trip each year through the Gift of Education.
