  • Should my name match what is on my passport?

    It’s necessary that your first, middle and last name on file matches exactly as your name appears on your passport, not the nickname you prefer to use. If the full name on your account does not match that on your passport, please contact WorldStrides Customer Support immediately.

  • How can I select my seat on the flight?

    Most airlines will provide options for seat selection when you check-in for your flight onine. Otherwise, you can request seat changes with the airline upon check in at the airport.

  • How can I upgrade my rooming option?

    Our WorldStrides Customer Support team will be happy to assist with room upgrades.

  • Do I need a passport or visa to travel?

    Every participant traveling outside the U.S. is responsible for obtaining the required documentation necessary prior to departure, such as a valid passport, visa, transit visas, notarized parental consent form (if applicable), and any required travel insurance coverage. Secure flight data (including

    name and birthdate) must fully match the information provided to WorldStrides for inclusion on travel documentation and airline tickets,

    and must meet any other applicable compliance requirements issued by the Transportation Security Administration or related agencies.

    You can update or change you or your student's at any point up to 85 days prior to departure through your WorldStrides account or by calling Customer Service. It is the participant’s sole responsibility to ensure this information is fully up to date. If changes occur with fewer than 85 days to departure, you must contact Customer Service and, additional change fees will apply. Visit the Transportation Security Administration website at www.tsa.gov for more information.

    Lastly, if a participant is unable to travel due to the lack of proper identification, passport or visa, or necessary inoculations, the standard WorldStrides cancellation policy will apply. Reservations are not transferable at any time.

  • Do I need to be vaccinated to travel?

    WorldStrides does not have a vaccine mandate, however all participants must still follow the health and safety-related entry requirements for the countries they visit outside the U.S. Each individual traveler is responsible for meeting these requirements.

  • Am I able to apply my Frequent Flyer number to collect points?

    Frequent flyer miles are not available to participants.

  • Do I need an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) to travel to the UK?

    Starting with trips departing January 8, 2025 onward, travelers from the U.S. and many other countries must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization, also known as ETA, before traveling to or transiting through the United Kingdom. This new requirement applies to all visitors, whether staying in the UK or simply connecting through UK airports en route to another destination. Each WorldStrides participant must complete this process on their own. The application can be completed by downloading the UK ETA App from the Apple App Store or on Google Play, or by completing the process on ETA’s website. The application costs £10 (approximately $13 USD) to submit.

  • How much spending money do I need?

    We recommend bringing between $30 to $50 in spending money for each day, to cover meals not included in the program and for souvenirs.

  • Can an adult and their child share a room during the tour?

    Yes, a traveling adult can share a room with their child. The minor will need to pay the upgrade fee for a twin occupancy (from the standard triple/quad occupancy).

  • Can I upgrade my flights?

    Unfortunately no, flight upgrades are not possible for individual travelers on a group tour as we have purchased tickets under group contracts.
