Kiersten leads the Academics team with over 20 years of experience working with students in various experiential learning and academic disciplines. The WorldStrides academics team ensures students are learning in their areas of interest, are supported in future academic growth, and are developing themselves personally through building maturity, independence, and awareness of diverse perspectives. Kiersten has always seen immense value in learning outside of traditional environments and recognizes that classroom educators are heroes, advocating for the academic needs and wellbeing of students.

Kiersten is a three-time graduate of the University of Virginia, with degrees in Anthropology, Social Foundations of Education, and Curriculum & Instruction. When not seeking personal academic learning opportunities, Kiersten can be found enjoying time with her family, supporting the local school system, and finding new exciting opportunities to see the world.
