The AIM Experience

Music Director with Choir Students Performance

Affirm. Inspire. Mentor. The AIM Experience is an exclusive private master-class session offered as an elective to participating groups at all festivals. This 60-90 minute concentrated educational experience provides extra performance time and customized one-on-one instruction from one of our professional clinicians. Music directors can set the focus of the session’s content through their planning call with the instructor. Reaffirm your classroom teachings, fine tune your festival performance, or focus on a few specific skills – the choice is yours! Ask your Performing Tour Specialist about setting up your own AIM Experience!

Your adventure, day by day

Day 1 : Welcome to Dallas!
Arrival in Dallas, TX

Dallas World Aquarium and Dallas Zoo (optional)

Experience the mammoth aquarium that features 80,000 gallons of saltwater exhibits including sharks, stingrays and hundreds of reef fish all in living coral reef ecosystems. Exotic plants and creatures from around the world inhabit the Dallas World Aquarium & Zoological Garden, where you can explore a South American rainforest or take a walk through a water tunnel surrounded by reef life from the Continental Shelf. The hop over to the 95-acre park and largest zoo in Texas with an impressive collection of animal species and an education department that offers fascinating programs for all ages.

Get ready for speed and fun with dragsters, slick trax, arcade, mini-golf, bumper cars, and more.

Medieval Times Dinner & Jousting Tournament (optional)

Live the legend! Journey back to the age of chivalry and knighthood. Experience spectacular horsemanship, breathtaking swordplay, falconry, sorcery and romance while feasting on a four-course meal. Cheer the knights of the realm to victory as they fight to the finish!

Day 2 : First day of festival performances
First day of festival performances

Festival performances run throughout the day at your event venue. After arriving at your concert venue, your group will warm up in a private rehearsal room. Each ensemble will perform for 15-minutes on stage. A panel of three adjudicators will provide written and recorded feedback for each performance. Following your performance, a select adjudicator will conduct a mini-clinic on stage with your group, providing valuable feedback and reinforcement for your classroom teachings. Groups will also have the opportunity to participate as an audience for other groups competing – giving your ensemble exposure to their peers.

Ripley's Believe It or Not & Plaza Wax Museum (optional)

The unique Taj Mahal style building is home to four great attractions! Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Louis Tussaud’s Palace of Wax, Ripley’s Enchanted Mirror Maze, and The Impossible Laser Race promise that there will never be a dull moment and always mind boggling!

Fort Worth Symphony (optional)

Bass Hall is the home of the Fort Worth Symphony where students can expect to hear some of the world’s greatest music in this acoustically renowned building.

Day 3 : Final festival performances and a day at Six Flags

Festival performances will continue throughout the day. Your performance time will be given to you weeks before your event, so you can plan your day accordingly. Bringing more than one ensemble? No problem – our team will arrange your schedule so you can maximize your free time.

Six Flags Over Texas

Your Dallas Heritage Festival package includes a one-day pass to Six Flags Over Texas! From the innovative and thrilling hybrid wooden and steel roller coaster named the Texas Giant to the spectacular shows, the park offers an array of fun and activities for adults and students alike.

Awards Ceremony & Dinner at Six Flags

Tonight, all groups will be hosted at an exclusive Awards Ceremony inside the Six Flags park! Choirs, orchestras, and bands will be recognized for high scores within their class – plus standout individuals will be recognized for outstanding performances.

Day 4 : Depart for home
