Itinerary
Day 1
Travel to Nashville, TN
Hotel check-in after 4PM
Grand Ole Opry Museum (optional)
The six-foot circle of dark, oak wood in the Opry House stage is shiny, but clearly well-worn. This circle gives newcomers and veterans alike the opportunity to sing on the same spot that once supported Uncle Dave Mason, Ernest Tubb, Patsy Cline, and others.
AIM Experience Master Class (optional)
Start the weekend off on the right note with your own customized master class—the AIM Experience. Spend 60-90 minutes with a professional clinician perfecting your festival performance, fine-tuning your skills, and reaffirming your classroom teachings.
Day 2
First day of festival performances
After arriving at the concert venue, your group will warm up in a private rehearsal room. Each ensemble will have 30-35 minutes on stage. A panel of three adjudicators will provide written and recorded feedback for each performance. Following your performance, a select adjudicator will conduct a mini-clinic on stage with your group, providing valuable feedback and reinforcement for your classroom teachings. Groups will also have the opportunity to participate as an audience for other groups competing—giving your ensemble exposure to their peers.
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum
Delve into the museum that has been called the “Smithsonian of country music,” celebrated for its broad cultural impact, educational mission, and unrivaled collection of historic country music artifacts.
Day 3
Continue festival performances
Festival performances will continue throughout the day. Your performance time will be given to you weeks before your event, so you can plan your day accordingly.
Johnny Cash Museum (optional)
Nashville is the new home to a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia celebrating the Man in Black, including handwritten lyrics of the last song that he penned.
Awards Ceremony and Dinner
Enjoy an exclusive awards ceremony and dinner to celebrate your accomplishments and meet fellow performers.
