Spend your summer in Valencia—famous for its futuristic architecture, golden beaches, and rich cultural traditions—while deepening your understanding of the Spanish-speaking world. This program is designed for advanced Spanish speakers and offers content courses taught entirely in Spanish, covering subjects such as art, culture, history, and literature. All courses are led by faculty at the Universitat de València and are taken with other WorldStrides students. You'll gain language fluency and cultural insights in a city that’s equally known for its historic neighborhoods and its innovative spirit.

We’ll help you make the most of your time abroad with immersive excursions and interactive activities throughout your program. We’ll also host an in-depth orientation when you arrive to help you navigate the city, academic culture, and your new home – all included in your program. From studying Spanish literature to cooking paella after a boat ride through Albufera, this program deepens your language skills both in and out of the classroom while immersing you in Valencian culture.

Experience study abroad with a purpose by combining your academics with ministry service, faith-centered learning, and mentorship through Veritas Christian Study Abroad. Enroll in a Veritas-specific course alongside your full-time classes, connect with a Veritas Mentor, and serve local communities through meaningful ministry work. Whether it's youth outreach, church involvement, or community support, you'll live your faith while exploring the world.

Universitat de València
Founded in the 15th century, the Universitat de València (UV) is one of Spain’s oldest and most respected academic institutions. Study at the Facultad de Filología, located along the tree-lined Blasco Ibañez Avenue and just minutes from our local office. With coursework exclusively in Spanish, this program offers the chance to deepen your language proficiency through content-based learning in art, culture, history, and literature.
Take courses at the advanced Spanish level in history, literature, and art, all taught by local university faculty and shared with other international students.

Excursions and Activities

Home Away from Home
After you've applied, you'll complete a housing questionnaire that will help us match your preferences with the available options. Housing assignments are on a first-come, first-served basis, so complete this form as soon as you're able! We strive to match your housing preferences as best we can, but requests cannot be guaranteed.
The options listed below are based on double-occupancy with another international student, unless otherwise noted. Single rooms may be available upon request for an additional fee. Meals and laundry service are not included unless otherwise specified. All utilities and internet are included, though you may be charged an additional fee should your consumption exceed the allotted monthly amount. A refundable security deposit may be required for some options.
