With a legacy dating back to 1559, the University of Geneva (UNIGE) stands out as a world-class hub of research and learning across disciplines—from molecular biology and astrophysics to social sciences and the humanities. As a EuroScholars participant, you’ll join an active research team under expert faculty supervision, contributing to real-world projects with meaningful impact across a wide array of academic fields.
Home to international agencies such as the UN and CERN, Geneva offers a unique cultural backdrop—beyond the lab—that inspires intellectual growth and global perspective. On arrival, you’ll participate in city orientation, secure comfortable housing in the heart of Geneva, and be supported by a dedicated international office throughout your experience.
During the semester, a Mid-Stay Program will be organized for all EuroScholars students at one of the host institutions. Travel and lodging expenses for students traveling to attend are included. The Mid-Stay Program will consist of an academic portion, in which students will present their research findings up to that point of the semester, as well as social activities around the host city.
This semester promises a powerful combination of academic depth and cultural immersion—giving you both a professional launchpad and a truly global learning adventure.
Program eligibility:
A minimum GPA of 3.4 or higher
Currently enrolled at a 4-year institution with sophomore standing (at time of participation)
Demonstrated academic background in the field of study and the specialization chosen
Strong interest in conducting academic research
Research projects in the Natural Sciences, including practical laboratory work, require ample laboratory experience

Home Away from Home
After you're accepted, you'll work directly with your EuroScholars host institution on your housing assignment. The option listed below is an example of the typical student housing offering. All utilities and internet are included; additional security deposit may be required. A meal plan is not included but may be available for purchase through your host institution.
