It is one of Germany’s oldest cities and has a rich history, featuring kings and emperors, the myths and legends regarding the Nibelungs, and traces of Judaism and Martin Luther.
Visit Dom St. PeterTowering physically and historically above all the other ancient buildings of the city. The basilica is a fine example of High Romanesque. Inside view the rosette window and the highly decorated 14th century side chapel of St. Nicholas, with its Gothic baptismal font and new stained-glass windows.
Continue to HeidelbergHeidelberg stretches romantically along the river Neckar in Baden Württemberg. Its picturesque character has inspired many artists and poets, including Goethe and Mark Twain. The city boasts a world-famous castle, as well as Germany’s oldest university.
Philosopher's WalkEnjoy a walk along the Philosophenweg, built in 1871 on the slopes of Heiligenberg, and offering magnificent views of Heidelberg and the castle.
Dinner in local restaurantEnjoy an evening meal with your group.
Enter into the Palace of Friedrich IV, which features the gallery of princes and kings of the German empire from the time of Charlemagne and the Chemist’s Tower, housing the Pharmaceutical Museum.
Continue to MunichEn route, visit Ulm. The city of Ulm was founded on the banks of the Danube River around 850 AD. A former Imperial Free City, it is now an economic and educational center with one of the most well respected research universities in Germany.
Visit Ulm MünsterA magnificent Gothic cathedral with the tallest spire in the world. Take the opportunity to Ascend the Spire, and enjoy one of Germany’s finest panoramic views.

Walking Tour of Old TownBeginning at the Karlstor, once a gate to the walled city. We will then view the Altes Rathaus and Peterskirche before strolling down Neuhauser Street, Munich’s largest shopping street, lined with typical 19th century buildings.
Visit the FrauenkircheThe largest Gothic assembly building in southern Germany, and the seat of the Archbishopric of Munich. With its twin towers, topped with onion domes, the church has become a symbol of the city.
Discover MarienplatzDedicated to the patron of the city. See the Neues Rathaus and observe the Glockenspiel on its facade. This is the fourth largest chiming clock in Europe, and stages an elaborate performance twice a day.
Visit AsamkircheA church designed by the Asam brothers, which offers the full effect of Gothic artistic expression and a mysterious theatrical illusion of another world.

Neuschwanstein CastleSituated on an outcrop of rock towering over a gorge in the River Pöllat, King Ludwig II himself only lived here for 172 days. The highlight of the castle tour is the Throne Room, designed in Byzantine style, with gilded mural paintings, mosaics and a huge chandelier.

Explore the Alte PinakothekIt houses a large and important collection that represents the greatest European artists from the 14th to the 18th century, including Botticelli, Raphael, Titian, Dürer, Holbein, Rembrandt, Rubens, Bruegel, Hals and El Greco.
Explore the Englischer GardenHighlights of the garden include: scenic streams that feed the Kleinhesseloher Lake; the Eisbach, where locals practice surfing; the Chinese Tower, which is perfect for views of the city; and the Monopteros, a Neo-Classical building in the heart of the park.

Visit DachauIn 1933, what had once been a quiet little artists’ community became a tragic symbol of the Nazi era, the first German concentration camp. The Audio-guided tour of the camp includes the memorial chapels and two of the rebuilt barracks. The museum is housed in the large building that once contained the kitchen, laundry and shower baths.

Explore the BMW MuseumThe museum brings BMW’s heritage to life through an innovative, multi-sensory experience and spans a history of more than 90 years. The museum is also notable for its architecture, particularly its listed circular building, known as The “Bowl.”
