Through courses taught in English, Spanish, or introductory Quechua, you’ll explore how indigenous communities are responding to modern social and environmental changes. An in-depth orientation upon arrival will help you navigate the city, university, and your home away from home—all included in your program. From visiting the awe-inspiring ruins of Machu Picchu to hiking Rainbow Mountain and exploring Andean weaving traditions to learning to salsa dance, this program blends cultural discovery with a focus on sustainability and social change.

Pair your studies with a community engagement opportunity for the potential to earn credit while making a meaningful impact in your host community abroad. Serve alongside a local organization and engage in reflective assignments that deepen your understanding of social issues and enhance your intercultural skills. WorldStrides Global Campus
At the WorldStrides Global Campus in Cusco, your classroom extends far beyond four walls. The campus is located near the lively Avenida de la Cultura and just across from the city’s Real Plaza shopping mall—home to restaurants, cafés, and shops popular with local students. While in Cusco, you'll have the chance to explore Incan history, vibrant cultural traditions, and the dynamic blend of old and new that defines this storied city.
Take small, discussion-based courses in English, Spanish, and introductory Quechua on subjects such as history, environmental studies, anthropology, indigenous cultures, and social justice.
Learn through hands-on coursework that bridges classroom learning with real-world application, using Cusco and its surroundings as your extended classroom.
Benefit from on-site support through the WorldStrides office located within the Global Campus, providing direct access to our knowledgeable Cusco staff.
Upon program completion, you’ll receive an official transcript from WorldStrides’ School of Record, the University of South Florida (USF), an accredited U.S. institution.

Excursions and Activities

From guided city tours to hands-on activities and weekend getaways, each experience is intended to help you connect with your host community. You’ll have access to a detailed itinerary in the WorldStrides Connections app prior to your program.
Offerings vary by term; below is a sample of past activities to give you a taste of what’s in store. Optional excursions require an additional fee.
Home Away from Home
After you've applied, you'll complete a housing questionnaire that will help us match your preferences with the available options. Housing assignments are on a first-come, first-served basis, so complete this form as soon as you're able! We strive to match your housing preferences as best we can, but requests cannot be guaranteed.
The options listed below are based on double-occupancy with another international student, unless otherwise noted. Single rooms may be available upon request for an additional fee. Meals and laundry service are not included unless otherwise specified. All utilities and internet are included, though you may be charged an additional fee should your consumption exceed the allotted monthly amount. A refundable security deposit may be required for some options.
