An in-depth orientation upon arrival will help you navigate the city, university, and your home away from home—all included in your program. Outside the classroom, make the most of life in Brisbane—cheering on the Brisbane Lions at an Aussie Rules football game and kayaking along the Brisbane River—for the perfect balance of academic challenge and unforgettable cultural experiences.

Kick things off with a five-day orientation in Cairns, where you’ll settle into Aussie life, get to know your fellow students, and explore one of the most stunning parts of the country. You’ll snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, spend time with kangaroos at a nearby wildlife park, visit the ancient Daintree Rainforest, and learn what to expect academically and culturally—with support from our on-site team every step of the way.

You’ll have access to a detailed itinerary in the WorldStrides Connections app prior to your program.

Housing
After you've applied, you'll complete a housing questionnaire that will help us match your preferences with the available options. Housing assignments are on a first-come, first-served basis, so complete this form as soon as you're able! We strive to match your housing preferences as best we can, but requests cannot be guaranteed.
Student Residence option is included in your program. Stay in On-Campus Housing for an additional fee (starting at $4,550).
Meals and laundry service are not included unless otherwise specified. All utilities and internet are included, though you may be charged an additional fee should your consumption exceed the allotted monthly amount. A refundable security deposit may be required for some options.
