Set at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Granada offers an inspiring backdrop for your semester of intensive study. Spend a semester strengthening your Spanish in Granada at the Universidad de Granada’s Centro de Lenguas Modernas. You’ll complete three month-long modules, with the opportunity to advance to a new level after each—accelerating your language development across writing, reading, speaking, and listening. Courses are taught in Spanish by local faculty alongside other international students, creating a dynamic and immersive classroom experience.
From the moment you land to the day you leave, our team is here for you. You’ll be greeted at the airport and supported by our experienced on-site staff throughout your stay. Whether you need help navigating life abroad or just want local recommendations, we’re here to ensure your experience is safe, supported, and unforgettable.
We’ll help you make the most of your time abroad with immersive excursions and interactive activities throughout your program. We’ll also host an in-depth orientation when you arrive to help you navigate the city, academic culture, and your new home – all included in your program. From flamenco shows to cooking classes and tours of the Alhambra, your language learning will be deeply connected to life in Granada.

Universidad de Granada
Founded in 1531, the Universidad de Granada (UGR) is one of Spain’s oldest and largest universities, located in the vibrant city of Granada at the intersection of Moorish history and Spanish culture. You'll study at UGR’s Centro de Lenguas Modernas (CLM), located in the heart of the historic Realejo neighborhood, surrounded by Renaissance palaces, Gothic churches, and cobbled streets.
Enhance your immersion through low-cost and free cultural activities, including concerts, flamenco shows, art exhibitions, and local excursions.
Practice your conversational skills through a structured language exchange program that pairs you with local Spanish students for two-way learning and cultural exchange.

Home Away from Home
After you've applied, you'll complete a housing questionnaire that will help us match your preferences with the available options. Housing assignments are on a first-come, first-served basis, so complete this form as soon as you're able! We strive to match your housing preferences as best we can, but requests cannot be guaranteed.
The options listed below are based on double-occupancy with another international student, unless otherwise noted. Single rooms may be available upon request for an additional fee. Meals and laundry service are not included unless otherwise specified. All utilities and internet are included, though you may be charged an additional fee should your consumption exceed the allotted monthly amount. A refundable security deposit may be required for some options.
