From historic landmarks to vibrant arts festivals, the greater Dublin area offers a dynamic backdrop for your semester abroad. Maynooth University (MU) is located an hour from the city center and offers courses in a wide range of subjects, including business, Irish studies, liberal arts, history, STEM, and more. All courses are taught in English by university faculty, and you’ll study alongside local and international students. MU also offers unique certificate courses that offer focused academic experiences for visiting students. You can choose to earn a certificate in International Business or Irish Cultural Heritage, which features field experiences to historical and archaeological sites.

We’ll also host an in-depth orientation when you arrive to help you navigate the city, university, and your new home – all included in your program. Whether you’re hiking along the cliffs of Howth, exploring medieval Kilkenny, or taking part in an Irish dance class, your semester in Dublin blends academics with unforgettable local experiences.

Housing
After you've applied, you'll complete a housing questionnaire that will help us match your preferences with the available options. Housing assignments are on a first-come, first-served basis, so complete this form as soon as you're able! We strive to match your housing preferences as best we can, but requests cannot be guaranteed.
The options listed below are based on double-occupancy with another international student, unless otherwise noted. Single rooms may be available upon request for an additional fee. Meals and laundry service are not included unless otherwise specified. All utilities and internet are included, though you may be charged an additional fee should your consumption exceed the allotted monthly amount. A refundable security deposit may be required for some options.
