Live and learn in the center of Tokyo, where you can enjoy easy access to famous neighborhoods like as Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku, Ginza, and more. This J-term program at J.F. Oberlin University is ideal for students interested in Japanese Language and culture. You'll enroll in a Japanese language course with the option to take an additional class in English.

J.F. Oberlin University
Located in the Shinjuku ward, just outside central Tokyo, J.F. Oberlin University offers international students an immersive academic and cultural experience. Founded in 1946 by Reverend Yasuzo Shimizu, the university is renowned for its commitment to global education and intercultural exchange. JFO provides a supportive environment for students to engage deeply with Japanese language, culture, and society.

Home Away from Home
After you've applied, you'll complete a housing questionnaire that will help us match your preferences with the available options. Housing assignments are on a first-come, first-served basis, so complete this form as soon as you're able! We strive to match your housing preferences as best we can, but requests cannot be guaranteed.
The options listed below are based on double-occupancy with another international student, unless otherwise noted. Single rooms may be available upon request for an additional fee. Meals and laundry service are not included unless otherwise specified. All utilities and internet are included, though you may be charged an additional fee should your consumption exceed the allotted monthly amount. A refundable security deposit may be required for some options.
