As I hop off the train in Lisbon, I am immediately greeted by the beauty of Portugal's flag as planes fly in the distance. This is only a sneak peek into Lisbon’s effortless beauty. A place full of color, culture, and care.
After a night's rest, we hit the streets. Beauty comes to you, as we are met with the staggering pastels Lisbon is made of. Anything as simple as an apartment is made into art.
We stumbled into a park for breakfast. The gazebo has been graffitied yet somehow it manages to still keep its elegance. Perfect place for a coffee and a pastel de nata.
The stroll continues through the suburbs. I can’t help but stop and admire the beauty in the banners. This is a neighborly bond displayed for the whole community.
We find a viewpoint to stop and enjoy the city's skyline. If you look closely here, you can see a rainbow being formed by the houses. You can't escape color here.
The journey continues, but this time towards the water. On our way, we enjoyed a healthy mix of street art and street music. A free show is always appreciated.
Before we reach the water, we pass the iconic trams of Lisbon. The vibrancy stays consistent even with public transport, a sunny yellow view before we reach the sea.
We arrive at the water and relax in the port area. The dock you see on the left disappears in the afternoon, so morning is the best time to go. Nice little relaxation period before more trekking through the ever-fluctuating streets of Lisbon.
