San Antonio Heritage Festival

Perform at the San Antonio Heritage Festival! Since its founding in 1691 by Spanish missionaries, San Antonio has grown from a sleepy Texas pueblo into one of the largest cities in Texas. Amidst modern office buildings downtown, you will find the Alamo, the Old Spanish Governor’s Palace, and La Villita – site of the original settlement. Just below the city, southern hospitality comes to life along the famous River Walk that overflows with entertainment, art galleries, food, and endless fun. An awards ceremony at Pedrotti's Ranch tops off an unforgettable experience!

This 60-90 minute concentrated educational experience provides extra performance time and customized one-on-one instruction from one of our professional clinicians. Music directors can set the focus of the session’s content through their planning call with the instructor. Reaffirm your classroom teachings, fine tune your festival performance, or focus on a few specific skills – the choice is yours! Ask your Performing Tour Specialist about setting up your own AIM Experience!

Your adventure, day by day

Day 1 : Arrive in San Antonio!
The Riverwalk (optional)

Paso Del Rio in the heart of downtown is the pride of the city! Lush green foliage lines the banks of this peaceful, historic river. Cobblestone walkways lead visitors to the river-level restaurants and shops.

The Alamo (optional)

On the east side of Alamo Plaza is the most famous spot in Texas where 189 defenders fell on March 6, 1836, after repeated attacks by Mexican General Santa Anna’s army. Mission San Antonio de Valero (The Alamo) was established in 1718 as the city’s first mission. The chapel, one of the most photographed facades in the nation, and the Long Barracks are all that remain of the original fort.
