Day 1 : Welcome to the Historic East Coast!
Arrive in Boston, MA

Meet your Christian WorldStrides representative and prepare for an action-packed journey back in time to visit Colonial America.

Lexington and Concord

Welcome to the home of the American Revolution! Textbooks come to life as you explore these two key sites that sparked the Revolutionary War.

Walk Lexington Green

Relive the shot heard 'round the world at the site where it all began.

†In a discussion with your peers and Course Leader, learn from the sacrifices of others.

National Heritage Museum

Enjoy this extensive museum that concentrates on American history from the chronicles of the Revolutionary War to popular culture.

Drive to Concord

Old North Bridge Battle Site

Stand on the grounds of one of the earliest battles of the Revolutionary War.

The Mayflower II

Climb aboard a replica of the ship that brought the Pilgrims to America in 1620.

Plymouth Plantation

See the Pilgrim's world come to life! This village recreates the lives of the Pilgrims, some of America's most famous immigrants.

† The Pilgrims believed strongly in God's plan for our country. Spend some time discussing their faith, God's Plan, and the birth of our nation.

Freedom Trail

This walking tour takes you into the heart of Boston. Learn about the events surrounding the birth of America and see many important sites along your way, including Boston Common, America's oldest public park; Old Granary Burying Ground, where Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock are buried; the Old State House, the site of the Boston Massacre; and the Bunker Hill Memorial.

Cambridge

Flash forward to life as a student at one of Cambridge's esteemed colleges. This city is home to two of the finest universities in the country: M.I.T. and Harvard.

Explore the waters of the world, from the Boston Harbor to the mysterious Amazon River in this state-of-the-art museum.

Depart for New York City

Chinatown and Little Italy

Explore New York’s largest Chinese community, which includes some of the best bargains and ethnic food in the city, and visit Little Italy, famous for its authentic Italian restaurants and pastry shops.

Dinner

Empire State Building Observatory or Top of the Rock

See New York City from the top of either the Empire State Building or Rockefeller Center. Take in the huge skyscrapers, hundreds of taxis below, and the sounds of NYC.

Day 4 : Explore the Big Apple!

Visit the many famous sites within the world's largest privately owned business complex. This center is full of shops, museums, and tourist sites.

St. Patrick’s Cathedral

Take in the beauty of one of the largest gothic-style Catholic churches in the United States.

Radio City Music Hall

Be inspired by the huge and beautiful Radio City Music Hall, a famous art-deco landmark and home to the Rockettes.

Fifth Avenue Walk

Experience Manhattan at its most glamorous with high-end boutiques, chic department stores, and student favorites like the Apple Store and Tiffany & Co®.

Central Park

Enjoy this 840-acre oasis in the midst of the busy city, which features the Carousel, Strawberry Fields, and the Great Lawn.

Times Square

Visit the iconic and lively center of New York City’s theatre district known as the “crossroads of the world”.

Dinner

Broadway Show

Enjoy the excitement of a Broadway show and pose for a group photo in Times Square.

Day 5 : Get a Glimpse of Lower Manhattan

Statue of Liberty

Ride the subway to Lower Manhattan and take a ferry to Liberty Island, where you will visit this landmark monument to freedom that greets newcomers to New York Harbor.

†Think about the symbolic connection between Lady Liberty and the cost of freedom.

Ellis Island

Experience the immigration museum on the historic site of America’s primary gateway for millions of immigrants. See the more than 700,000 names listed on the Wall of Valor, and even research your ancestors by accessing passenger records in the museum’s interactive history center.

†Imagine living in a place where your faith in God is forbidden. Take some time to discuss the sacrifices and struggles of these immigrants.

Lunch

National 9/11 Memorial

Reflect as you visit the twin pools paying tribute to the nearly 3,000 victims of the September 11, 2001, attacks.

†Take a moment to pray for the families of these victims.

Wall Street and the Financial District

Visit America’s financial center, home to the New York Stock Exchange, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Chase Manhattan Bank, and Federal Hall.

    Can students earn academic credit from their travel programs?

    Yes! We love when students get credit for learning. This helps them get a step ahead, whether its for a college application or for a future career. All middle programs include the opportunity to earn free high school credit. Our Perspectives programs offer high school students the opportunity to earn three free college preparatory credits. Most of our higher education programs include credit from the academic institution of record. Our online courses make it easy to earn credit at a student's own pace. WorldStrides offers coursework that has been carefully designed to combine the field experience with online assignments that demonstrate achievement of learning objectives.     How do I register for my program/trip?

    For most programs, there are a few easy ways to register:

    • Online: Visit our online portal
    • By Phone: Some programs may be eligible for phone registration. Visit our Contact Us page to find the phone number!
    • By Mail: If you received a trip letter distributed by your program leader, complete the registration form and fax the front and back with your credit card information to the number or address provided in your letter.
    Some WorldStrides programs offer incentives for early registration, so please refer to the information provided to you by your program leader for complete details. When registering, you'll need to use the Trip ID assigned to your program.  Each ID is unique and can also be found on the registration information provided to you by the educator leading this program. *Note: Some groups may have special registration procedures. Please check with your program leader if you cannot find a Trip ID associated with your trip.

    What's included in the cost of a domestic or high school international program?

    Every program is customized and what's included may vary from trip to trip. A typical program includes transportation (air or motor coach), hotel accommodations, meals, a daily guide (Course Leader or Tour Director), sightseeing activities, and immersive educational content. All programs also include all of our safety provisions and support. The registration letter provided by the teacher leading your program has all the inclusion details for your specific program.
